  1. That's what my manual says: ('13 Silverado, I guess it should be similar to the 09') I didn't look very hard but I couldn't find anything about an oil change every 3000mls. so long j-ten-ner
  2. That's an easy fix. Bulb's burned out. so long j-ten-ner
  3. I've got a night job today and since I can't sleep in the daytime anyway, I thought it'd be a good time to install the aero skin. With 115 CAD it's quite expensive, but I didn't like the idea to buy a regular one with those metal clips. It is a little tricky because this thing is so floppy. And with the adhesive stripes you've got basically only one shot. So I took my time and it turned out pretty good. so long j-ten-ner
  4. Just call it 'fike'. Bike, trike, fike. Wonder what you'd call a fifth wheel... so long j-ten-ner
  5. You can get an extension. http://www.amazon.com/DR530W-2CH-DR550GW-2CH-DR650GW-2CH-DR750LW-2CH-CONNECTION/dp/B00N9HNGP2 I doubt that the one in the package reaches all the way back. so long j-ten-ner
  6. ...amateur-test, specs, asphalt-dyno, butt-meter. Call it whatever you want. My point is that all of the "test"( ) oils where branded with the same numbers. 5W30. This is suggesting to Otto Normalverbraucher (or John Doe) that the 4 samples should at least behave close to each other. Like the Amsoil and Mobile1. so long j-ten-ner
  7. That makes me really wonder why in hell anybody even bothers to invent SAE and DIN or any other norms and standarts. so long j-ten-ner
  8. Or simply go to "More Reply Options" upload a pic, attach the file and then add it to the post. so long j-ten-ner
  9. loool you made my day so long j-ten-ner
  10. A few pics. Her name was Joy...and that she really was. Miss her. so long j-ten-ner
  11. You know...at the end I don't care. As long as my family, bystanders or I am not effected by someone actions. For sample. I don't care if someone ends up with his knees in the back of his head because the airbag went off. Or the dog in someones face because they thought it was a good idea to have the dog on the lap while driving. I feel sorry for the dog though. I didn't mean to bash on you. Sorry you took it the wrong way. And you're right. You can't fix stupid. Can only hope that they will eliminate themselves by natural selection. so long j-ten-ner I'm taking risks too once in a while. Somewhat calculated and the people around me are in the same boat. Getting dressed for my first race ever. Only "Bumble Bees" but fun as hell
  12. YES...that's why I'm driving once in a while around the empty parking lot w/o the seat belt on. Just to get back the kick and the feeling of true freedom. We were daredevils... so long j-ten-ner
  13. About a year ago I installed the DR530W 2CH in my truck. Pretty much the same set up as you have. Best product so far. No trouble. No heat issues. I tried 4 different cams before but all died on a heat stroke. The best of those 4 was one purchased on Amazon for 50 bucks. Lasted for about 18 months. Have fun catching funny footage... and share with us. so long j-ten-ner
  14. Did you shrink-tube your connections? so long j-ten-ner
  15. I started swearing at my truck yesterday after he was sitting in the sun for x-hours. The air coming out of the vents was just lukewarm. It took me a few minutes to realize that I pressed the rear window heater button instead of the AC button. My fingers are to big or the buttons are to small What a relieve when the air came out ice cold in 31*C outside temperature. so long j-ten-ner
  16. Brought my truck in for a service on Saturday. So while I was waiting I strolled around in the show room. Just looking. And sure enough my old buddy salesman showed up. We were standing next to a '15 Sierra SLE CC 6.5' 5.3L with heavy duty tow package and lots of bells and whistles. 20% of the sticker. 52-something down to 42-something. Zero interest for financing. And this guy is a smooth talker...but two things kept me from getting reeled in. I was not there for shopping and the truck was white. But the guy put a bug in my ear big time. so long j-ten-ner
  17. Too bad. Sorry to hear that. 15 years ago I had a German Shepard/Doberman (I think) mix. Don't know for sure. Got her from a shelter. She was awesome. Soooo easy to train. And full of energy. Couldn't make her tired. I love mixed breeds. so long j-ten-ner
  18. The Lab/Husky should be a own bred. The color of the fur and the eyes...beautiful. Send me a message if you ever get puppies from him/her. so long j-ten-ner
  19. I'm wondering what the fuel economy would be like with all the new technology in the older, smaller body. so long j-ten-ner
  20. Way to go man! so long j-ten-ner
  21. Best bet...trade it in. Other than that keep bugging your dealer. so long j-ten-ner
  22. Yeah...anybody? I like the design with the "gauge". so long j-ten-ner
  23. Maybe I've got the wrong picture in my head. But doesn't it drip all over the place? Even if it doesn't wouldn't it leave a trail when you're driving in the rain? Not judging, just wondering if this is not a little sketchy environmental wise? Since I'm driving a truck with a V8 I'm certainly not a tree hugger. Don't get me wrong. But I'm trying to keep it somewhat reasonable. so long j-ten-ner
  24. If you have a 5.3L with AFM and recently topped up the oil level you're good to go for additional 20 mls... so long j-ten-ner
