  1. How? Just pour it in a pump can and spray it on? so long j-ten-ner
  2. Honestly, this is what I highly doubt is going to happen. I hope for you that I'm wrong but I bet they just spray the new sh*t on as it is. so long j-ten-ner
  3. You have 12 users following the topic... Keep on going. so long j-ten-ner
  4. I've heart stories that the oil filter came loose in some cases or the oil cooler lines. Did you check for leaks? Sounds like the pump was running w/o oil due to a low level. After the engine was off the oil in the engine drained back in the pan and gave you another 30 sec of running time. so long j-ten-ner
  5. The way you say it here... ...it is. Good luck. So long j-ten-ner
  6. He's still smart enough to realize that a servo from a Vette or what ever won't fix a worn out transmission. It'll only delay the blow up. But for the reason you need it (to screw other people) it'll work just fine. So go for it and don't ask for help if you don't want it. so long j-ten-ner
  7. Do you take your truck to the beach once in a while? By the look of your skid plate and the frame rail it seems like the truck was dragged through dirt or sand. Not judging, just wondering. so long j-ten-ner
  8. Let me guess. It's a white truck and evrything is color matched. Even the tires. so long j-ten-ner
  9. Maybe the trans is so complex and sensitive to contamination that the manufactures are going this way... It's just when I have no way to check on the fluid myself who is gonna pay for a damage caused by a low fluid level? Maybe I would have been able to notice a problem (e.g. a slow leak) with my routine fluid check. I guess the DIC will tell me when the fluid is low. Doesn't help me in the desert...or Alaska (if you know what I mean ). so long j-ten-ner
  10. Well, I'd call a Ferrari kind of an exotic car. Not a bread and butter car all of us drive. Ok it doesn't mean that the Ferrari has to be a bitch to work on just because of that. But if I was a farmer and had to rely on my equipment (like the truck who takes me to the field e.g.) and couldn't perform routine maintenance...I wouldn't like it. Do I have to crawl under the truck to check for leaks every morning? It's easier to check with a stick IMO. so long j-ten-ner
  11. ...and this is what you get for a 3 hour workout... so long j-ten-ner
  12. I know exactly what you're talking about. Even though my truck is not black. so long j-ten-ner
  13. Detailed mine yesterday. Looks like new... so long j-ten-ner
  14. Not on my '07 Sierra. Only issue was the CC. Brake lights were fine. I'm not saying this is a problem for the K2XX...and it could be anything else. so long j-ten-ner
  15. Maybe a bad brake light switch. Was common for the GMT900 though. so long j-ten-ner
  16. Thanks for giving back hope...that those engines are still capable of longevity. so long j-ten-ner
  17. I'd put dark tinted glass all the way around, 34" rims, glitter paint and gold plated bumpers in this category. And I don't even know what it means. But vent shades? so long j-ten-ner
  18. In the winter I love to have the heater cranked up all the way but still have a window open. And since winter in Vancouver means rain...there you go. so long j-ten-ner
  19. It's all about perception... One can argue about the way they do it but it still looks good imo. so long j-ten-ner
  20. You can crack open the windows even if it's raining. I have those sticky GM ones (glued on the door). Dealer installed and no probs so far. Maybe that's a better option than the "in the channel" ones. so long j-ten-ner
  21. Looks nice. A dark truck bed (e.g. spray in liner) would make it look finished though. so long j-ten-ner
  22. Thank you. so long j-ten-ner
  23. I'd love to try E85 but can't get it nowhere here in the Lower Mainland Vancouver. Or does someone know a gas station in this area? Couldn't find one. so long j-ten-ner
  24. Only partially true. It just doesn't make sense to have a rear axle ratio of 1:3 when you need a 1st gear ratio of 25:1 just to get enough torque to the drive shaft to spin the wheels. That would be a waste of efficiency just to gear "down" and then "up" again. I'm convinced that the 8 speed and a 3.08 ratio will just work fine. You get 2 goals at once. Enough towing power (smaller gaps between the gears) and fuel economy. so long j-ten-ner
