  2. inners are welded in today need to weld the outers in and cab corners then paint and fix a bedside... hoping to be done next week
  3. Been building headlights like crazy lately, redoing the boyfriends 12 duramax, going all out on mine, have another 2010 duramax to do in a week. Here's a sneak peak at mine Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. Bore the cylinders, cam, longtubes, if you do longtubes do an intake, custom tunes and modify the shift points, lower the gear ratio in axles to take strain off trans and give you some pep. this is all stuff ive done and will do. but I have a 5.3
  5. keep in mind upping tire size on a stock truck will throw the speedo off if you have a high gear ratio
  6. maybe some day, my 06 is getting all my attention ive got thousands wrapped up into it and im never going to sell it, the 86 is just my backup

  8. window lock switch has always been my favorite since my idiot friends used to always play with the windows... and the rear child door safety locks in the door jams saved my drunk friend from escaping while I took him home.
  9. If going over tracks made the sound intermittent then id continue looking for a rattle before changing up fuel or adding any additives. that's not going to stop an exhaust leak anyway.

Feel free to list any current or future modifications as well. 1986 Chevy Scottsdale K10 doesn't really have much done to it besides a new intake an carb, with 20% tint all around right now its a daily driver and possible mud truck in the future. 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 Custom tuned, 7" lift, 20" Ultra hunter wheels, 35/12.5/20 Cooper discoverer stt pro, cold air intake, Pacesetter long tube headers ceramic coated, 4.10 gears, HD upgraded transmission with shift kit, Custom pioneer stereo system, 5% tint all around, custom light bar with led offroad lighting, Led upgrades inside and out, weathertech mats, Hornblasters conductors kit 240 train horns, Custom Halo headlights (in process of upgrading to projector HID), LED cab lights, tow mirrors, tonneau cover, Fox shocks. Currently in the shop getting all rust removed with new inner and outer rockers, cab corners, and frame supports, one bedside being redone, aftermarket fender flares. And soon new exhaust to compliment the headers.
  12. my buddy alix put an LS 6.0 in a Colorado just recently, it is so ridiculous
  13. well we don't have much room to work with because chevy decided to put distributers in the back on that motor which is horrible for trying to time anything. especially in a cj7 and with the MSD HEI back there which takes up every millimeter of space back there.. we had a hell of a time timing that thing the best we could get it. it was so touchy that it ran like hell too far or too little. it does need some carb work though which is a big chunk of our issue.
  14. we raced it on the sand drag strip up there a few times and it was doggy at first but once we got going it was a monster
  15. its got some power but doesn't seem like enough, we ended up grenading the fly wheel... seems like it was on its way out anyway though

  17. I spent my Thursday through sunday at the silver lake sand dunes jeep invasion.. my 06 is still at the shop and the 86 did nothing all weekend. I drove the boyfriends 2012 duramax and his 78 cj7 with a built sbc 350 and turbo 400 trans. I told him its ok to have a jeep if its chevy powered lmao
