The Sierra is different. It's not tied into the center piece so it's much easier to remove for a clean look

You have the two piece with the "chrome" center piece. I'm wondering if it's different for the blacked out front end (like on the midnight edition) Is there anything that still supports that center piece after the dam is removed? They guys that clipped theirs used the crease that the factory nicely included for cutting a straight line across the front end.

I also haven't seen a 2017 Silverado with it removed. I have seen/know of a could guys who have clipped theirs to different lengths. I thought with the new shape of the front end, it was going to be a little tougher to run it completely damless on the '17s silverado

Have to keep that DuHa protected. They scuff easily and no one wants everyone to see a scuffed up DuHa. Now when you have people in the backseat sitting just a few inches away from you DuHa and underwear storage, that's another story.

Seriously now - just go to the dealer, or any dealer if yours is that bad, ask them about the third brake light delete plate. I know you could get it on the previous gens for the 3500s chassis cabs that had cube box conversions mounted or flush mount racks and service boxes. I'm sure the option would still be there.

If we're modifying the truck - 2 words - Duct Tape. All sorts of color options, A tight secure finish. Get the clear duct tape and keeps the lights for the Euro look. Or use red Tuct tape and still have the appearance of still having the brake light.

Fondupot Did you end up lifting your front end? I thought I remember you saying that you were leaving it stock for the time being but I may have missed a follow up post. Reason I remember is because I was looking at the same 285s for my truck and wanted to ask you if you had any rubbing issues on the stock ride height.

Where do you live? It's freezing here and over the past two winters, if I wash my truck and don't put it in the garage right away, ice will form over the sensors make the truck thing that something is constantly within the sensor warning distance. If the sensor doesn't change over a couple of seconds, the sensors are temporarily disabled and unavailable.

Just throwing it out there but when this post started, did anyone else find it more helpful and useful. When the posted topics were exactly what Blue set them out to be when you started the section? The posts were simple, photos, with all the required info needed if anyone else wanted to put them on their truck. Now, we've got reposts with the original photos shown again and you have to scroll through pages of info just to get to the useful stuff. I thought when it started that it was going to be posts of the setups and if there were any questions about it - PM that person. I just took at look at the S&B site and I like the design/function for the 2013 GMs, so hopefully that stays similar for the '14s. I also really liked my AEM on my last ride but I'm with you, the price does leave something to be desired. I've waited this long, what's another month.

Nice. The price is pretty much standard for the seal box intakes. Right around the $400 mark. Another good intake to add to the mix. Make the decision that much tougher to make. I really need to get off my ass and make a decision on this already.

I'm not scared of loud. More thinking about cruising noise. Any annoying notes or tones when you're at a constant speed. Also wondering how well it seats to the hood. None of these intakes are really CAI's but if the seal is pretty good to the hood, it should be sucking more air from the fender opening and from behind the light.

So are you impressed with it Ktapper? I'm torn between this system but swapping out the normal filter for a dry flow one and the AFE stage 2 system that 14'silveradolt is offering me. Damn decisions.

Thanks for the post, but I wasn't so much looking at the LED lights themselves, I was more wondering if anyone had experience with xenonDirect lights. The people on here have been mention DDM and Morimoto but nothing about xenonDirect.

You've got a Flowmaster system installed. I've seen the youtube video, you're hearing any intake, the vehicles you're passing or you're stereo (unless it's loud) over the exhaust when you get on the go pedal.
