Painted my tailgate handle yesterday

Rob38jr, I wish I could help you out. I called two vinyl shops. One quoted me $140 and another quoted $40. I went with the $40 one... He told me it's his best vinyl that he had..., so I'm assuming he told me the truth. I didn't like how Chevy left that small black plastic piece at the bottom between the two windows. It was bothering me. Dodge and Ford both put a piece of black plastic between the two windows on their newer crew cabs.

Installed black vinyl between my two windows. Looks better IMO.

Got tint installed today

I decided on the Leer 550. I liked that it was waterproof and covered all of the black plastic on the bed rails. I painted the handle on the bed cover to match my truck and I removed the "LEER" lettering from the back as well. So far it's served me well. I paid $915 for the cover and install.

I wish that I had better info on it. I sold the truck a few months back and now I drive a 14'. I had the receipts from the dealership also. I remember the first time that it happened I was driving on a lonely Hwy in the middle of Arizona. I drove it to a Chevy dealer and they replaced some sort of electronics ($600 worth). The next time it happened I was in my driveway. I thought that I was going to have to get a tow truck to get me to the dealer, because I was unable to get it out of four wheel drive. After I went into reverse, drive, reverse drive a few times it finally worked. I took it to the dealership the next day and they replaced the same electronics (another $600). At the time, I just paid it and went on about my life, so I couldn't tell you the exact details. I do know that that was my only problem with that truck for the 141,000 that I put on it before selling it. Sorry I couldn't be of any better help.

This same issue happened in my 2006... Twice!

Still need.... tinted windows, level kit, sound system, de-badge the "SILVERADO" on the doors,color matched front Chevy bow tie, color match grille and bumpers, color match the tailgate handle,...... in no particular order.

I put a Leer 550 tonneau cover on mine. I think it came out alright.
