  1. Just had 305/55/20 nittos, and xd wheels put on. Vibration gone, AGAIN, we'll see if it comes back, AGAIN
  2. Thinking about switching steps out, mind sharing a side view? Nice ride btw
  3. I personally had my cruise set at 75, feeing the vibration come, and go, shifted into M4, and M5, same speed, same vibration, to me that rules out the transmission. I did drag my foot on the brake at 75, had to push harder on the gas to hold the speed, and didn't notice the vibration anymore. Granted I didn't do this for a long distance because I didn't want to melt my brakes.
  4. What wheels are those!? Looks great, I hate the looks of my hc wheels.
  5. Just a follow up, 2014 CC 4X4 SB high country 6.2. Dealer replaced all 4 gy with michelin's at about 6k. Vibration 100% gone. Have about 13k now, and the 70-80 vibration is back. They checked the balance, and are scratching heads. I believe it has something to do with tire compound. New tires corrected the problem 100% but after 5-6k miles it came back.
  6. I didn't know the 2015 ½ ton models were available, someone said they had a 15 denali!? I thought the 15s with the 6.2 were coming with the 8 speed trans? Has anyone tried dragging their foot on the brake at 75 to see if the shake goes away?
  7. Just made a 1300 mile road trip up the east coast. I75 in Fla, I95, and route 81. Some sections of road were horrendous, shaking the console, and passengers seat, while other roads were smooth as butter. My dealer put michelin's on my truck which made a huge difference all around. For those who haven't followed, I have a 14hc cc 4x4 with 3.42, and 6.2 motor. My cruise was set at 80, and 75 the entire trip. Avg 21mpg Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  8. LMAO. my '09 got stuffed into the back of a semi at 60, and they fixed it. Had 70k miles on it.. May wanna feed that deer some nitro Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  9. Its going to take more than a deer to total a 50k truck Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk I do like your thinking tho Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm sure some people are experiencing different issues here, but mine was exactly the same as JC's video. I know from experience the LS2 tires on my '09 rode like crap, and got very slick on wet roads around 30,000 miles. I replaced them at 35,000. I'm told the michelin's should get about 70,000 so its a win win, in my opinion. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  11. JC, I posted a couple video's back in this thread, experiencing the exact shake/vibration. I had better background music tho... dealer found 2 tires road forced out of spec, and replaced with the same good year ls2. didn't change a thing. I kept on him, and he installed Michelin ltx tires. truck rode 100% better.. all around smoother ride. the michelin's road forced in the single digits, except one was a 13. now that I'm close to 5,000 miles on these tires, I'm starting to feel a slight vibration coming back. Oil change, rotate, and balance should correct the issue this weekend. I felt similar vibration on my '09 I had Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  12. Sounds like a install/balance issue. These trucks seem to be very sensitive to tire balance. My factory good years road forced in the high teens, low 20's and vibrated above 70. Dealer installed Michelin's, road forced in the single digits, and no more shakes Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  13. Damn.. Those 305 hankooks look awesome!! I bet the dealer would be pissed if I sold the michelin's they put on.. Hahahaha
  14. Yeah, MJ, a little birdie informed me that the good year tires weren't intended for installation on trucks, seems they can't handle the weight.
  15. VID_20140429_140118992.mp4: Here's a "shimmy" video VID_20140429_141323351.mp4:
  16. Sorry about the double post, not sure how that happened. Side note, road force #'s were in teens, and low 20's with the Goodyear's. Tech was impressed with the michelin's as the mounted right up, 3 tires were in single digits, highest r/f was a 13. I think tires, and alignment on these new trucks is critical.
  17. Hi all. Read all 114 pages. 2014 Silverado high country ccsb 4x4 6.2 Manufactured 1/14 Bought in Feb, noticed shimmy above 70mph 1st service at 4500 miles dealer stated 2 tires out of spec, high road force #. Replaced with same g/y ls2 20" shimmy remained same, then noticed steering wheel crooked. Couple days later shimmy turned into SHAKE. Returned to dealer, one of the new rear tires had twisted on the rim knocking it out 3oz. Dealer re-balanced, rotated, re-aligned, and straightened steering wheel. Shake gone, shimmy same. Console, passengers seat shaking above 70. Service manager replaced all 4 tires with Michelin mtx m/s. Truck rides perfect. I drive same stretch of interstate in Florida everyday, spend tons of time in the seat as I work out of my truck. Owned many many trucks, last 7 have been gm. This truck is the nicest all around. No comparison to any other. Hopefully it stays this way, and helps you guys out. Hi all.
