  1. Could you not just tap into your headlight or parking light wires and then you do not have to worry about anything else.
  2. Has anyone has issues with the dealership not being able to recalibrate speedo. My dealer wouldn't do it because GM said they wouldn't let them access the computer because the wheels I put on aren't GM brand wheels. Seems stupid to me. But it's what the dealer told me. If this is the case, would a shop that has a "tuner" be able to do it? I would hate to have to buy a tuner just for this one reason. Is it even worth it? my stock wheels were 31.6 and new wheels are 31.9
  3. Body lift would work, but there is quite a bit of labor involved in installing those, and IMO it makes the trucks proportions weird.
  4. There is but it'll end up looking like post #2974 on this page http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/161228-post-your-2014-wheeltire-set-up/page-199 And your suspension parts will be all sorts of messed up and wear out prematurely. If you wanted to do it the right way, you're going to have to either: ditch the leveling kit and get a 3" or larger lift kit with drop spindles, etc. OR at bare minimum get new UCAs for a 3-inch level.
  5. Just installed 20x10 Hostile Sprockets with Atturo Trailblade XTs
  6. I have a 2.5" level kit and I just put on 20x10 -19 offset Fuel Hostile and Atturo Trail Blade XT 275/55R20 XL (31.9x10.8x20) not the largest tire, but everything fits without rubbing. No trimming needed. If I went with 33's it definitely would be rubbed, but in the future I probably will go with 33's to fill the gap between wheel and fender.
  7. Anyone have any experience with the Eibach leveling shocks? I have been in the market for new front suspension and was planning to wait for the 6112 Bilsteins to come out, but stumbled upon these. Most of the reviews are people who have them on Toyota Tacomas. http://eibach.com/am...ro-truck-shocks According to Eibach: PRO-TRUCK Sport Leveling (RHA) Also, if I already have a front leveling kit can I just throw these on, or do I have to remove the level kit? Thanks in advance.
  8. I own a 2014 with 22k miles. Honestly couldn't be happier. I had a 2013 prior to this with the v8 and I really cant tell much of a difference. I towed a uhaul (6x12) loaded up to the max from Wisconsin to New York and other than averaging 13-14 mpg, it handled the weight really well and had power to pass when needed. I went for the v6 because i rarely tow, and mainly like a truck because I could throw whatever I want in the back and I sit up above traffic. Plus I feel more safe. Didnt ever feel the need to have the v8 plus I got an amazing deal on my truck.
  9. Gotcha, I am trying to get them to give me the lights for free and I would buy the wire harness.
  10. I am currently waiting for my dealer to make a decision on if they will do the swap for me. In my case, practically everyone in my family has bought their cars from this dealership and the salesman is now a manager so I may have more luck than the average person going to their dealership.
  11. If I have a 2014 SLE would I be able to buy the 2016 SLT lights with LED turn signal and LED bulbs and have a harness from Gen5 work as plug and play?
  12. When I did the conversion I did it as a 20" tire so typo on my part. But yeah, I highly doubt those fit.
  13. Listing has tire specs as 325/50/20 which would only be a 32.8" tire not 35".
  14. What lift are you running, and where did you get those mirrors? Sweet setup =]
  15. Posting this for @Greg24v He is currently running a leveling kit with-44 offset and 305/50/20 tires Here is all that needed to be trimmed to get the wheels to fit. In these pictures you can see where he used a pair of snips to trim the plastic back a little. But then there's metal under it , he used a grinder and ground it down until it cleared. Then hit it with a touch of black spray paint. Can't really notice it unless you're leaning down there looking at it close. This was before he put a little sand paper on black paint on it to smooth it down better. Also, he poked a hole with a pocket knife about 2" up from the bottom on the fender well, through the fabric/carpet stuff and put 2 zip ties thru it and pulled it back a little to help. He just put the zip tie around a bolt where the body connects to the frame. I don't have a pic but if you look right under your truck you'll see a hole or that bolt you can put a zip tie around. He used 2 each side. Also here is the tire info, so you can compare that to whatever tire your interested in. There are definitely some ATs and MTs that would fit that size. 16. I have the 2.5 RC level. I personally have not had any issues. Although, to be honest, I wish I went a little higher. I have been debating upgrading upper control arms and upgrading to KING or Fox suspension which would give me 3.5" of lift and allow 33 or 35 inch tires.
  17. Any have experience with Cognito lift kits? Saw this truck at SEMA and the LA Auto Show. Wasn't anyone around to ask questions, but I love this setup. It appears the KING coilovers only work on up to a 3.5 inch lift.
  18. How much trimming did that require?!?
  19. What lift are you running with that wheel and tire setup? I checked out your build thread but didn't see any recent updates. Looks awesome!
  20. Found these NEW Ballistic Tank wheels online a few weeks ago. Have yet to find any pictures online of anyone running them. Looking to see if anyone on here has them. They look pretty awesome. Also, does anyone have any experience with Ballistic wheels? How is the quality? Thanks
  21. Installed 50" light bar this weekend. I used the RC upper windshield mounts that actually get riveted inside the door. I would NOT recommend these mounts to anyone. They cause the door to not shut all the way and the once 'quietest cab' is no longer. I've tried putting 1/2 tubing inside the weather striping as recommend in the forums, but it didn't solve the issue. I have ordered a set of Putco roof mounts ($44) and hoping they can work this this light bar. If not, I will have to go with N FAB and spend about $150 plus install.
  22. I am going mainly on what the screen tells me as I never drive just Highway or just city. But, I average around 450 miles to the tank and usually put in less than 25 gallons per fill up
  23. I have a 2014 V6 with stock wheels and tires and a 2.5 RV leveling kit and front air dam removed (both mods are supposed to affect mpg) and I still get 20-25mpg highway and 17-19mpg city. I highly doubt 33's will make much of a difference but as someone else has stated it also depends on the tire. If you get a toyo MT that weighs 60+ lbs that may be a different story but that will happen no matter what size your motor is.
  24. Thank you! It really comes down to price. I found the Nittos for $279/tire The Toyos were $312 and RTs where $330
