I totalled my truck hitting a deer. So I took most of my mods off to sell.

The LED taillights will look like this (the reverse light is on the bottom): (I am selling a set along with the factory harnesses needed for the upgrade...You'd just need new resistors)

never mind...I now realize you were selling it to him for the parts.

That might be the solution... How does this trim piece attach? Will my need an upgraded mirror or anything?

My windshield guy says that the windshield you posted comes with brackets for rain sensor and camera. Since my truck has neither of these features he says that these brackets will just be hanging out in the open and not look very good. Did your truck utilize these brackets? He said he can't find a HUD windshield that does not have these brackets. Anyone have any leads?

From my research it looks like the replacement HUD windshield for our trucks will be out of a Yukon. The windshield place I talk to said the heads up display windshield will come with brackets for rain sense and lane departure. Is there one that does not have these brackets? Does anyone have any part numbers? Thanks.

I'm looking forward to the pics. I think I have everything I need except the camaro bezel. One more question to make sure I have everything on hand before I start...Is there existing hardware in the dash to mount the HUD unit? Or is the a package from GM that can be ordered? If not, can you share the specs of the hardware (size/thread/length)? Thanks.

I am trying to source the HUD bezel (camaro part# 22758784). There are none in the system in all of Canada. Anyone know how easy it would come off the dash of a salvage camaro? Would it just pop off? or is there a backing piece that would be needed also? In other words...Is the bezel a single piece or two pieces? Thanks

He did, but I believe he mentioned that his cluster did not have the HUD connection.

I plan on covering the surrounding area with lots of painters tape to avoid a similar experience.? How are you attaching the switch to the trim piece? Did you cut the hole the size of the hashed piece on your template?

You should be able to negotiate it down to $8-10.

Would adding an aftermarket HUD film to the windshield help with the ghosting of the image on a non-HUD windshield? This might be a compromise until my windshield needs replacing. Heads Up Display Film

Thanks for your input Gentleman. @Viktorrocks15...Do you know if you are going to make a video to help others with this mod? Or what about some additional detail on where to cut the dash piece for the bezel (or details on all of the cuts). I'm pretty handy but would feel more confident if I had some additional guidance.

I’m looking for some advice from anyone that has done this mod... I found a wrecker that has the HUD unit and switch. The problem is that there is some slight damage on the corner of the lens. My question is would this damage be visible once installed or cause any concerns with the image projection? Thanks for the help. ?

A video would be awesome...I'm looking forward to tackling this but would like to see some of the finer points in more detail. For example, where and how to cut to mount the switch where you did; where and how to cut the speaker tray to fit the projector as well as dash for the bezel.

Are you asking about the hood the was required on his original method of installing the HUD? You don't need a new hood with this new method. He now uses a bezel that is cut into the speaker cowl rather than a custom hood.

That's an awesome job. Is there any way you could produce a printable template for the cuts (including the switch) and aa basic write up?

I ended up finding a suspension maxx kit on eBay for a decent price. I installed it at 2” without issue. Here are a couple of pics:

It would be easier to hack up the LTZ harness you have to harvest some wires and pins and then add them to your LT harness. That is what I did then used the DIY instruction I got from pgamboa. Or you could contact @pgamboa for the DIY kit. Good Luck.

Did you ever find anything that works? I am researching the same thing and have found 2 kits that should work. The rough Country 1311 shows as only fitting the trucks but I did an online chat with rough country and was told it would work. The other is the Suspension Maxx GM725m. My question about this...Can you set which phone has priority to connect if both phones are present? My old Ram truck could do that...I thought it was handy.

I want to send a big shout out to Chris for helping me with the logistics of getting an eBay cluster shipped to him and then up to me in Canada. His communication and understanding was awesome. I love the look of this cluster in my Regular Cab . I'm hoping that someone comes up with a kit to make the HUD look factory. I'd have no issues cutting the dash to get the module in but I'd like to make sure its looks proper when its all finished.
