  1. Damn sorry to hear that man. I would imagine the level on there is the culprit to some of the dislike. I'm just guessing though as I don't have either installed on mine. -Skeet
  2. If you have a lot of condensation, try using a paper towel and rice. Wrap the rice like a burrito full of rice. Tape the paper towel shut and stick it your housing overnight. If you modded caps to fit HID's or something similar, you may want to use a cap that is still sealed, so the rice will absorb the moisture in the housing and not out of the air. It's not completely necessary to use a sealed cap, just more efficient. Worked very well for me, as I acquired a lot of moisture from adding a modified end cap and going through the car wash before properly sealing it. Credit for the idea goes to Mike1220. -Skeet
  3. That thought crossed my mind several times to just tap in and I've got a bag of those laying around somewhere. I may go that route if I can't get these diodes to stay in place. I kept bending the hell out of diodes as well lol. Hmmm maybe it was a sign from above telling me to leave them alone lol. I'd still like to get the cargo light and puddle light mods done. -Skeet
  4. Well I bought a few packs of diodes at lunch and was going to do this after work along with the cargo light and puddle light mods..... I failed miserably lol! Is there an easy way to get to the connectors that I've missed somewhere? I'm 5'7" and 165 pounds and couldn't hardly manage to get up in there to get at these to work with them. I had the diodes in the pins on the black connector from 1 to 7 no sweat; but the one kept popping out of from the brown to black connector as it seemed it wasn't long enough, or I just pushed one end in too far. Do they snap in, or do you just push until they stop going in? Sorry I'm sure I'm making this way harder than it should be haha. -Skeet
  5. Just got out of the car wash, it's about 45 outside temp right now, got home and my entire driver side head light was fogged up. Not just the drl strips but the entire thing. Haven't noticed it that bad before, I'm going to keep an eye on it. -Skeet
  6. Awesome I'm doing this tonight! The difference is amazing wow!! Thanks for the write up!! -Skeet
  7. I looked on their site and don't even see Bilstein listed? Am I blind? Or do you have to call bc they don't have them listed on there? Thanks Edit* found billys, mobile site was giving me a run around. ill have to call as well. -Skeet
  8. Are those the newer model part numbers? I've got them written down at the house but I'm at work. May go ahead and order then if so. Only reason I ask is bc they don't show up when I search for parts by vehicle on their site with a 2015 Sierra. Edit* found them, awesome deal good lookin out bud! -Skeet
  9. I like how he opens the door right when a wave is coming in. I like the girl with the green shirt on the right even better. Either super tiny thongs or a birthday suit on one lol. -Skeet
  10. There are a few threads just like this HID thread, but instead of being for HID stuff, they are dedicated to LED related heads/fogs/stuff. If you are going the LED route, you'll probably have better luck posting/looking/getting ideas in one of them. Here's a couple to get you started on spending more money. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/168341-vled-LMZ-led-headlights http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/156233-Halogen-%26-LED-Headlight-Bulb-Upgrades -Skeet
  11. Can anyone on here recommend a good shop in the southern wv area? I've had a lot of work done on previous trucks, but it was all done a few hours north of here before I moved. I'd rather drive a few miles than a few hours lol. -Skeet
  12. I have noticed my seats heat up on remote start, they aren't as hot as they would be after having them on high and driving around for a bit; but noticeably warm compared to the other surfaces in the truck in the morning. Once I turn the key I still have to turn the heated seats on. I think that's how they are supposed to work though, correct me if I'm wrong. -Skeet
  13. If you've got outlook you could send a read receipt with the email to see if he actually opened the email or not. Of course, he would have to choose to hit yes to send the read receipt to you; he could hit no and you'd still be in the same place as now. -Skeet
  14. Here's my first attempt with vinyl last weekend, turned out pretty well. Held up to the pressure washer so far too. Mirror cap was still littered with my fingerprints and had light from the gas station reflecting all over it, but it was an easy mod overall. After using plasti dip in the past and now vinyl, I prefer the vinyl. -Skeet
  15. I may try to take a Dremel to mine as well, worst case scenario I lose the ball. I have yet to listen to am/fm yet in the truck, and as far as I know that's all that will be affected if I end up screwing it up right? If so I'll just be down an antenna and forced to buy a replacement. -Britt
  16. Anyone put the adjustables on yet? -Britt
  17. Last one I had was too flexible as well, stayed bent back like I was going 75mph at a standstill lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I agree, I feel like I'm playing/trying to win a video game with the DIC while I'm driving still haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'd like to find that magic number for the 55mph highway I travel to and from work on m-f. Problem is it's got about 8 stop lights on it and tons of traffic, so the cruise is usually useless. Basically like city driving but a little faster haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I agree, I hit 25.3 on the last 50 reading on a trip a couple weeks back. The 25.3 was in a slower speed zone (60mph) and had a lot of downhill and was flat or very small grades going uphill. I set the cruise at 60 just to see what it would get. Adding in the rest of the highway with long uphill drives and long downhill drives, I'd say it was closer to 19-21ish overall with the cruise set at 73mph. That was all stock with a 5.3 and 20's. I'm at 17 for my lifetime average right now with a whopping 2090 miles lol. The average seems to be getting less the more I get used to driving it like a man and not a gramp as well. 21. What model year did you put this on? I was looking at their site and they list 89-2006 for fitment on sierras. I've got a 2015 and am looking to swap mine out as well. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Love it lmao!! [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So I think I'm going a different route now with my headlights than I originally planned. I'm putting up a brand new never opened 14-15 Sierra 35w HID kit from The retrofit source for sale in the classifieds tonight or in the morning when I can get some time to take pics of it. Just giving you all a heads up in case anyone subscribed to this thread was thinking about ordering a kit and seeing that parts are still on back order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I can't wait to see what some of you guys come up with as far as mounting solutions for a retro go so there's not all the crazy drilling and what not involved. My morimoto kit just got here this morning, but I have a feeling from looking at some of the pics in this thread that I'll want to do a retrofit sooner than later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I noticed the moisture in mine the day I brought it home and was admiring the new truck. Mine have either quit fogging, or I just have gotten used to it and don't notice anymore lol. I can see it now in the TSB. "Step 1- put off helping customer as long as you can, they may eventually quit noticing the issue and/or get used to it and overlook the issue.
