  1. I hear ya man, loans are rough. I've got a little under 4 years left to free myself from them. I think my next one will be a diesel too, that diesel brothers show has me wanting one bad haha! Sent from my kayak
  2. Dude I've never had a heated wheel until this truck, I haven't worn any gloves going on 3 winters now lol! Sent from my kayak
  3. What happened to your rig bud? I remember you had a real nice setup! Sent from my kayak
  4. I was kind of hoping someone would say that lol. I just need to get them, don't know why I haven't honestly. I've been debating buying them on and off well over a year. Sent from my kayak
  5. What's the consensus on color temp? I'm thinking 5-6k range, leaning toward 5500 for a fog light match. Sent from my kayak
  6. I've experience the same thing from the middle passenger side vent, no worries it'll quit. Or try cutting off the air flow to the vent making the noise to stop it. Sent from my kayak
  7. Oh well, I'm installed and not removing anytime soon hopefully. Have a few extra feet of harness ziptied and tucked away in the spare battery compartment or whatever it is called in front of fuse box haha. Sent from my kayak
  8. Wasn't sure where or how I was going to route and secure the harness and resistor back in there. It just made it easier to access everything and ziptie a few spots and position the plugs. Sent from my kayak
  9. I took a leap of faith on eBay and was worried the entire time until I installed. The seller was semi local so I knew I could always make a trip if something went south. There were a couple good passenger side assemblies but the drivers were all looking pretty rough. Luckily found a guy with a set that had all tabs. When they arrived, I thought I just got a shipment of 100 kilos of cocaine by accident lol. They literally arrived wrapped in cardboard, not in a box mind you, just cardboard turned into wrapping paper; then inches and inches of bubble wrap over the cardboard and then freaking trash bags and packaging tape around all that. At this moment, I immediately knew I was doomed. To my surprise they weren't broken, tabs were still all there, and they worked thank the lord. Car-part.com has a bunch for sale on there. I've heard you can contact the sellers for pics. Member on here and in this thread, Horacio, had a set for sell NIB on marketplace last week. Sent from my kayak
  10. Gen5. An aftermarket CAI without a full box would leave ample room. It's not bad, but is a tight fit. Sent from my kayak
  11. How was the fit for your wiring on passenger side? I may end up going back in and trying to do some adjustments. Felt like I had to really push to get the airbox back in there with wires bulging somewhat from the cover of the back of the plug assembly. I would definitely recommend upgrade if you can find them at a good cost as well. Sent from my kayak
  12. The one above by OP reflects the same lighting I experienced. I didn't take any picture as I planned to use the video for screenshots. I was running vled lmz bulbs for about 2 years. Had one fail from user error and was back to regular sylvania bulbs the last month while I decided what route to take. 2016 vs 2015 projector assembly: Cutoff is the first thing I noticed, it's much more defined and crisp than that of the old projector, regardless of what bulb is in it. Color temps were about the same as the vled and actual brightness on road right in front of truck is about the same. Shoulders are ~60-75% more illuminated in the new assembly; that and throw are the biggest gains I noticed. The old projectors lacked illuminating beyond the first 5-7 feet on road and just turned into scattered light. These new ones have a crisp cutoff way on down the road and distance is dramatically increased. Sent from my kayak
  13. I tried to use my GoPro for a country road drive last night without considering the camera is about useless in the dark lol. I feel like I may need to adjust the driver side down just a hair, seemed to see several people's eyes reflecting the light when I passed. Didn't get flashed any though, maybe I forgot what's it like to see at night while you drive. Sent from my kayak
  14. I found a gently set used on eBay. Prices run from around 300-600ish a side from what I've seen in the last couple weeks of searching used; with the lower end ones being scratched/missing tabs/etc. There's a guy on here selling a new set in the marketplace. I bought a wiring harness pre made from gen5diy, You can also make your own if you wanted for cheaper. But you will have to do one of the two for them to work. Search for This thread, it has info on the swap and making your own harness: 2016 SLT lights in 14/15 SLT/All Terrain almost done It's plug n play with the harness I bought. You add a fuse, run the harness from fuse box to driver side light and plug it in, run the harness under the upper plastic cover and plug into passenger side. Biggest pain is removing the upper valance and the air box. Sent from my kayak
  15. Swapped out my 2015 headlights for the oem 2016 LEDs. Love the new look. Sent from my kayak
  16. Insane how much they change the look of the truck, I think I like them better on the 14-15s. Sent from my kayak
  17. I can this evening, you just wanting to see the cutoff or the throw on the road? Sent from my kayak
  18. MAF sensor wasn't snapped in completely, tried to hurry and get done before dark. All seems good to go, I'll take some pictures once the rain stops! Sent from my kayak
  19. Got them installed and everything is functioning properly. Took a test drive to the grocery store, all was well. Ride back from the store I had a check engine light on, any ideas? Edit* remote start does not function either, lights blink once and you hear a click, but nothing. I think the check engine light is preventing this from working. Edit edit* I'm thinking MAF sensor, going to unplug the battery tomorrow for a while and see what happens. Sent from my kayak
  20. I agree on the price. I've messed with some wiring and splicing on speaker components before, and I honestly just didn't want to sit down and work it all out as it's not my forte. Had a little extra play money after getting our roof fixed from the snow damage, decided to take the plunge. Found a used set with tabs for 350 a piece semi-local. Hoping they get here today. Sent from my kayak
  21. I just received a harness from Gen5 for 2016 led to 2015 slt, I don't see where I would need to do any cutting while installing? Sent from my kayak
  22. After our emails I was turned off of eBay, unless I can get a specific part number that's for sale. I'd imagine it's the same seller, multiple listings for 14-16 clusters and some say color changing as well lol. Sent from my kayak
  23. No luck buying one here. Seller on eBay refused to give me a part number, would only sell according to my vin. May try the dealer on my next oil change. Sent from my kayak
  24. That would have shaved a lot of time off lol should be a quick fix this time around then. Appreciate it. I remember that diode wire wanting to bend an awful lot when I was inserting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Are you able to unplug these modules to make it easier to add the diode? I never did and it was a real pain doing the fog/high back when this thread was started. Thinking of doing reverse/cargo but held off as I wasn't trying to cram up under there again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
