Then why is it that is is only when lights are in "auto" mode? When you switch to parking only or headlight on, the drl turns back to the proper white color. I have a tech that believes the problem lies some where in between the sensor that picks up the sunlight on the dash and the top drl.

Went to my dealer earlier in the week for this. Driver side blue on drl only, headlights on- it returns to normal. First of all, the service advisor douche wouldn't even acknowledge that he saw a difference in the light color. After several demonstrations of changing from headlights on to auto... he said he'd have the tech look at it. STILL wouldn't acknowledge the color change. Go to pick up truck today... he tries convincing me that it's the angle that I'm looking at it as it's "a downward angle". He also says it's on both lights. It's only the angle ! LMFAO. On the way out I got the service advisors name from a sales guy walking by. I asked him.. he do you see any difference in my drls ? He said, hmm... the drivers side looks a little different on the top. I thanked him and left. Time to find a new dealer after a call to the service manager to express my extreme displeasure.

Yes hilarious. I have a 21' sierra 1500 denali 3.0 w) same issue on driver side top drl is purple-ish. Make that 5 people.

So I guess I have the chrome housing as well. I never even knew there was a difference until closer inspection of all pics here. I kinda like the black housing now that I see it. Anybody wanna trade mint set for mint set? Lol I like it too.

Yes the grill, bumper and facia are different but can be swapped if you do both at same time. ...

Yup, 1500grit should get any imperfections.. compound, and you've got brand new looking lenses. I bit mine w/ compound every few months to stay crystal clear. Broken tabs aren't the worst thing in the world either. Alot of sellers will have the piece of tab that you can plastic weld back one and function correctly. Theres a few sets out there now that are steals...

You should ALWAYS level your lights anytime you change them out. For you guys trying to level... Pull right up close (6" or as close as you can get) to a flat wall on a level surface... mark your cutoff w/ some tape or marker.. usea tape measure from ground up to make sure your cutoff is at the exact same height as your projector... ... Use your tape measure and back up exactly 25'. Your cutoff should be a few inches lower (2-4" or so I forget) than the marks you made previous, if not adjust as needed. What it all boils down to is that your cutoff should never be any higher than the height of an average cars sideview mirrors... whatever the heck that is. Above method gets ya real close. It's been a while but correct me if I'm wrong that the driver side will always be a touch lower than passenger due to projector housing?

Just be careful with those... as I'm sure you probably know, using the non-dot rigids as fog lights is not legal and will blind the living hell out of oncoming traffic. I have a 20" d2 driving/spot combo bar and it's absolutely incredibly insanely f'ing bright... but I have it wired to my high beam for trigger, and unfortunately rarely get to use it. I also have the dot approved set as fogs and I still get flashed occasionally as they are bright as hell as well although toned way down and with added cutoff. The old stock 15 running lights seemed more white where as the 16's have a hint of blue that match the rigid fogs perfectly.

fwiw... the rigid DOT fogs are a perfect match.

They turn on when truck turns on... not like before. They are very bright until you turn headlights on, then they dim slightly like the 15's did when you turn parking lights on. Led heads are amazingly bright. Noticeably better than the hid conversion I had, (35w 5000k).

Got the lights installed late last night... it was a long work day so sorry guys no pics. ? I don't know if they are actually brighter than my trs hid setup, but the color and beam pattern are definitely much better. The led headlights as well as the c shaped running lights now match the rigid dot fogs color perfectly. I have to say, this is the single best mod I've done to the truck, (along w/ the led tails), and most expensive. Anybody interested in a minty set of 15 SLT headlights w/ the trs morimoto 35w hids? I'll probably list them in the classifieds here in the next few days b4 they go to ebay...

Ill give you a side by side comparison in about a week... I have the TRS/morimoto 35w setup on my 15 and just snagged a set of LED 16's off eBay. No I didn't get a great deal like some of you guys.. paid $1400 shipped. But no broken tabs or scratches. I gotta spend it on something right? I'll post up some pics during and post-install
