  1. Has anyone had any luck getting the Transmission Sensor covered on a 2015? I have a 2015 Silverado 6.2 8 speed LTZ with 71,000 miles. The transmission sensor has just started to fail and is turning on the check engine light. My dealer quoted $1392.66 for the repair. It looks like the 2016's are covered in the N192291660 special coverage, and there are TSB's for the 2017's. I have a case open with Chevrolet.
  2. GM is covering this on also every other vehicle, except the Silverado and Sierra. https://gm.oemdtc.com/8154/17336-03-special-coverage-air-conditioning-condenser-combi-cooler-refrigerant-leak-2015-2017-cadillac-chevrolet-gmc
  3. FYI - Here is a link with all of the part numbers: https://forums.dealersedge.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11002 84496856 is the newest one. See: Yes this is as a result of a complicated connection chain of part numbers that is below. I am currently working with the catalog group to get this to show more clearly for the dealers. But in short, depending on availability of the part the dealer can receive any parts in this chain until there is no stock left available and then only PN 84496856 will be used. Sorry about all of this mess, we didn’t realize how this would affect the catalog but we are working on a clearer solution now.
  4. This just happened to me this week. Exact same condenser leak on the weld as the other pictures in this thread. 2015 Silverado LTZ with 31000 miles and the warranty expired 31 days ago. I was quoted $1400 by the dealer for the repair. My Vin is not covered in the supplemental coverage. I'm working with GM customer care to try to get a Goodwill repair. This should be a recall for a manufacturing defect, and not a supplemental item on specific Vin numbers. This is my 6th GM vehicle, and I was getting ready to lease a Volt for my daughter. If they don't come through, I won't be buying another GM.
  5. I wanted to say thanks to Phil for helping me upgrade to towing mirrors with his custom harness. Now that my upgrade is finished, I have two sets of mirrors for sale in case anyone is interested. You will need to work with Phil to get the required harness for your model. Here are the pictures: I have the used stock DL3 mirrors for sale from my Black LTZ (in great condition), which include power fold, indicator, dimming, memory, heating, and puddle lamps for ***SOLD*** I also have a set of brand new unopened Silverado Towing mirrors that have all of the options (without diesel sensor). They are AM Autoparts part number AM-2558332961 or 1A Auto part number 1AMRP01786for ***SOLD*** https://www.1aauto.com/search?q=TR00082&year=2015&model=1716 Please PM me if you are interested, if I don't get any takers I am going to put them up on ebay. I am also going to list these in the for sale section.
  6. I removed the stock rear blocks and added 2.25" rough country blocks. I have the rear Bilsteins setup with the boots down. I personally believe that the rear is not the issue. I think the compressed spring in the front when you increase the ride height creates the stiffness and pogo stick effect.
  7. I know that most people in this thread may disagree, but I installed the 5100's on my 2015 1500 Z71 4wd a couple of months ago, and I really dislike them. I installed the fronts on the highest setting, and added 2" blocks in the back. I then tried moving the fronts down to the 3rd setting which helped a bit. The Truck looks good, but the ride quality is bad. The stiffer ride is nice around town, but it causes really bad oscillations on washboard sections of the freeway that I never had with the stock Z71 Rancho's. I also tow a 6000 pound TT with an Equalizer hitch, and front to back movement is much worse on the Bilstein's then the stock Rancho's. I plan to take these off in a couple of months and go to a matched spring an shock combo like Fox or something else. I've had Bilstein's on my last 4 vehicles, but do not like them on the Silverado. It's also very disappointing that the 6112's are still not available, and that they did not package them as a direct insert..... you still need to use a spring compressor to reuse some of the stock components.
  8. Hello! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Phil for assisting me with my DL3 to tow mirror upgrade. I had a set of the 1AMRP01786 mirrors with the bad splice, and Phil was really helpful. He even send me an extra mirror to test while we were troubleshooting the issue. Everything is working great now. Also, I have a pair of Black DL3 mirrors off of my Midnight Edition Silverado 1500 for sale for $400 OBO. They have memory, power , power fold, heat, signals, dimming, etc. If you are interested please PM me and I can send you pictures and other information. Thank You!
  9. Hello! I have a 2015 Silverado LTZ with DL3 mirrors. My mirrors have all the features, memory, power fold, hear, turn signals, marker lights. I would like to purchase the 1A Auto black smoked tow mirrors with the same features. Do I need a wiring harness for anything? My truck seems to have all of the pins in the harness indicated in the post on the first page. Thanks!
