  1. The only thing they did to mine was something that would allow me to turn off HD permanatly. so I can cut it off and it does not cut back on regardless of changing stations or turning off the truck or listening to XM. But the reception is no better and it sounds like analog. So no big deal for me.
  2. So yall have found a antenea booster ? I also had one back in the 70' that just plugged in between the wires. Was by Audiovox or something like that ?
  3. 2014 Silverado non-bose LTZ. I can tune to a station and then switch off the HD option but if I change stations and come back to the original the HD function resets it self. I have no way to permanently turn off HD with out using a hammer? I can not turn off HD and it will stay off. Coleman
  4. Its the FM range is half of what it used to be prior to I believe the 2013 units. The fact that you cannot turn off "HD" with out it kicking back in when you change a station or two. And the damn loud ass stupid door chime for the "key in the switch", " seat belt unbuckled", etc. They ran the the chime thru the infotainment system thus it comes thru the speakers and you can not turn it down even thou the radio has a chime volume control, which doesn't work.
  5. What update is there available for the loud door and seatbelt chime? (Non-bose system) ? Also has anybody update to a different system, Pioneer, Sony, etc. With success ? Thanks Coleman
  6. Evening! I have been watching this for about 5 months as I purchased a new 2014 (non-Bose) 1500 LTZ in around May. It purchased new but was a leftover 2014 the local dealer had on the lot. All is well with the truck with the exception of the HD reception. I previuosly had a 06 1500 and the reception was great! Now that being said and I may have missed the info in these pages, how well do the new non-HD radio pick up (if anybody has one yet ) and would a non unit be a swat in/out. I just want good reception the HD is not really that important to me. I just miss stations I use to get. Also has anybody just upgraded to a aftermarket system like a Pioneer super tuner touch screen system? I know there may be some trade offs on the current features but I don't use the Nav or some of the other things. Sorry if this is a repeat and thanks for the site !! Coleman
