  1. You got that right my friend, I changed mine yesterday. I had no idea what the difference would be.
  2. Just put them on. Polyurethane bushings won’t let me bottom out the threads. I tightened town to 20 lb.ft. Let it ride
  3. no, I can run the nut all the way up the threads til it runs out of threads
  4. my OEM nuts free spin on the bolt - same as the replacement NAPA nut/bolt that I purchased.
  5. What holds the damn nut on? Loctite?
  6. That’s what I was thinking but wasn’t sure. Thx
  7. Am replacing them but don’t know how tight to draw down the nuts. OEM and new NAPA both have non lock nuts and no lock washers.
  8. Exactly what you said. Took me about an hour, thanks??
  9. I can live with that, thanks
  10. So I have "skimmed" through these 134 pages looking for the answer to one question that I am sure is here but cannot find. I have a set of 5100's with springs set at stock height that I want to install. Will I have to separate any ball joints, tie rods, sway bar, etc.? I am under the assumption that getting the truck up on jack stands, removing the tires and putting the floor jack under the lower ball joint - 5 bolts (3 upper/ 2 lower) and I'm in and out with these.

  13. It’s kinda the same reason everybody is obsessed with 20” and 22” wheels on their trucks. And they have the nerve to complain about the harsh ride. To each his own I say.
  14. I did the same. I bought a used 2015 LTZ Z71 Black Custom Sport Edition grill on eBay. Cost me $345. It had the black surround so I just in snapped the inserts and changed them. This is what it looked like.
  15. Installed chrome horizontal grill bars from 2015 LTZ Z71 Custom Edition. I re-used my chrome grill surround.
  16. replaced the black window trim with chrome, replaced the rectangular steps with the 4" round ones and replaced my 18"Z71 wheels with some 18" Sierra/Yukon wheels. Unique stock grill replacement coming soon
  17. Just a little Centennial Heritage love for the z71.
  18. Made a hitch plug with my Chevy Trucks Legends emblem.
