  1. 2strokes are terrible and will require that you cut the dust caps open. I'd go with HID if you want to start cutting. If you want plug and play, the new Xenon Depot H11's work with our factory dust caps installed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have the same muffler. Deleted rear and flapper. Sounds nice in the truck. Kiddos still sleep fine, even long road trips. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This does exist, however, I don't recommend testing it with your arm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Personally, I'd trade mine before doing this. It's like the guys who changed their front clips to 2500's or Escalades. Any worries you are creating a Frankenstein that you will never be able to trade or sell?
  5. What lift do you have? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That's exactly how mine looks from the factory. Good work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Agreed, my 2012 Mercedes GL450 (x164) had the light control completely locked out. I wasn't even able to turn off the headlights without shutting the car off. It was some kind of a 'safety lighting package'. I'd cycle the light control and nothing would happen. Night or day, the control was completely locked out. Unreal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What did this cost you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Those will not fit, they are H1. You need H11. Secondly, I have heard that using LED's that have cooling fans should NOT be used inside of headlights with dust caps. I'm not sure the stock cap will clear the back of that fan, anyhow. I have purchased a set of LEDs from XD until I find OEM black LTZ headlights to send to FAST for an FXR retrofit... The XD H11 LEDs have cooling ribbons coming off the back, no fans.
  10. Thats my exact truck. Custom Sport Plus.. Minus the graphics and orange tow hooks. Mine is a Z71, so my grille is black with chrome bars... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm hoping that us '14-'15 1500 owners will be to buy the 2016 2500 HID or LED OEM components from GM and retrofit our existing headlights. That way we can stick with our larger 3" projector size. I think the 2016 1500 has a 2.5"... Somewhere, GM designers got it in their heads that the public likes "small headlights", due to the success of the camaro. In fact, we like high tech & High performance headlights and could give a shit less about size if they look nice and perform well.
  12. What did MVI charge you for that? The lack of pricing on the net leads me to believe the price may be different for everyone. Does MVI programming trigger the camera to come on automatically when the front crash indicators are triggered? Or is this a simple video in where you have to switch the source manually if you want to see what's in front? If that's the case, then it is Strange that the video turns off at any speed. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. What do you mean you "lost your headlights"? Can you elaborate? What kit did you have, wiring harness, etc? Where did it fail? This is exactly why I am hesitant to pull the trigger. Don't want to lose my headlights, especially in a storm. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. These are discussed further back in this same thread. My take on them was that they are cheap construction with pot metal inside and they don't match up to OEM spec on the insides. Holes/mounting hardware in different places than OEM. The projectors are worse than OEM and you can't swap them out for the FXR with bracket without some serious modding. There has been people here who has modded them before. I was going to go that route, swap out the LED's in the middle for really good ones and then swap out the projectors. I decided not to once I heard the poster's experience.
  15. You still have to cut the extended cap. The difference is that you can still get the dust cover on. Some members have been getting by just fine drilling a hole in the stock cap, they must be using low profile connectors to the D2S bulbs... Either way, a hole must be drilled to let the wires pass through. rdtpp1991 in post #1998 above is the latest to drill a hole in his stock dust caps...
