  1. which diff to choose

I'm not too sure I need to call the shop and ask them. The front is what has me a bit confused Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

So 3.42 is just a ring/pinion change and I believe axles then? Perfect much cheaper to do myself and not do carriers Im bolting my built engine in the car as we speak so I'll have to start buying up my gearing for the truck soon hehe Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

Ya but i have 3.42 going to 4.10, thats where im unsure, i know in the rear, 3.08 to 4.10 needs new carrier, but 3.42 to 4.10 doesnt. Not sure if 3.42 to 4.10 in the front requires carrier. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

Pretty sure carriers are needed after 3.73 for 3.08 only least in the rear. Im unaure about the front still. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

Aah shit ya thatd be a huge jump. Been trying to look into it, for the front id need ring and pinion and axles to go from 3.42 to 4.10 i think am i right? And just ring and pinion in the rear. And then a seal/bearing kit or ? Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

Yup, thats what i had found, i posted later that if i went 4:10 and had a shop do it itd be about 2500 Alot cheaper if i do myself, which i may. I was sure with 4:10s my tires would bring me to 3.42, 3.73 off 4:10 would be more than decent and what i want Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk Def let me know Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

So your saying.....its a waste to spend money on one thing, but ok to spend money on trading in all the time? Interesting concept....i spent the money to lift and put larger tires on my truck, and if you want it done right you regear. So if I want to spend the money to do so, i will If YOU want to spend YOUR moneu trading in every time a new truck comes out, thats YOUR decision. Last i checked my bank account...nope no bills paid from anyone else...your opinion on how others spend thier money expecially when you state you spend your money how you want, means absolutely nothing to anyone. Hmm, if thats the case then maybe ill find a write up and price out just the parts and do it myself. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

Most of the labor is apparantly the front. I may look into what itll take to do it myself. I would RATHER do it myself regardless, just not sure how involved it is with the front Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  15. which diff to choose

No i didnt expect it to be free, i DIDNT expect the labor to be 2 grand, but thats price to pay to have it covered with a power train warranty. Id do it myself, but the front diff is a real **** from what i understand Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
