  1. I fought with this issue for almost a year trying everything. Moving the camera up and down re-leveling the trailer adjusting all the dimensions, even deleted the trailer, and input all the info over again. I just changed the height to 118" and BINGO in less than a 1/4 mile it calibrated. My height is 131".
  2. I am going to wrap the bumper, the inside of the door sills and maybe the top edge of the hood if it doesnt look to obvious. I need to do some research on what wrap to use.
  3. Are you talking about the invisible trailer option when using the GM camera that you mount on the trailer? I am having the same issue with my 2024. I havent persued it very hard yet but need to dig into it hard the next time I hook my trailer up.
  4. I was able to order my truck with the Z71 Sport Package that included the matching color package, "Pull Me Over Red". I have always liked that look myself. My 2017 1500 had the same matching package too but I will tell you this if you decide to paint the bumpers you should wrap it with clear self healing tape anyway because you will see lots of stone chips. Factory paint is a little better for stopping the chipping but I haven't had any luck from a paint shops paint job not chipping. I have 5000 miles on my 2024 and already have a stone chip. I am ordering the clear tape this week to help protect it.
  5. I couldnt agree with you more. I am still trying to find my way around the interior so when I get back from camping this week I should have a better idea where I am going to consentrate to put some lights. The first step will determine where to tap into the lighting system.
  6. They were two seperate pics from two different vendors. https://www.shopchevyparts.com and Chevy Accessories Store. Unfortunately y salesmen failed to order the camera when I placed my order.
  7. I just took delivery of my 2024 HD and found out the camera for the transparent trailer view was not put on the order so I need to get it. On digging into this deeper I see there is a wireless option from the Chevy Accessories store that can be used (Part No.: 19421453). Has anybody used this camera yet and had any issues? I have had a wireless camera on my old truck and trailer without any issues but was wondering if this GM set up has any issues.
  8. Hey Steve hope this camera worked for you, I just took delivery on my truck a couple days ago and somehow the camera didnt get ordered at the same time so I need to get one. I see they have a wireless camera available also and was wondering why you didnt get that camera. Do you know if they arent as good as the solid wired cameras?
  9. AMEN Fishfighter!!!! I am trying not to count the days down, I dont want to get caught up into that but it will be before the end of the year for me to retire. 38 years, its time for the new chapter to start. I will be putting my ass in this new truck seat for a whole new reason everyday, camping, kayaking, hiking, fishing and just getting lost in the woods.
  10. I really wanted that Gideon interior but the way they have these option packages set up I couldnt get it. I think it had something to do with the Z71 Sport Edition. My truck, that should be coming into the dealer anyday now, lol, will be my retirement truck too. It started out pretty simple and then.... $68,000 later. I am fortunate, and blessed to work for GM so I do get a little discount and my dealer here doesn't gouge any extra so it could be worse I guess.
  11. I put my order in on 6-8-23, would have done it earlier but I was waiting for GM to start building the Z71 Sport Edition again, for some reason they were on hold. I was notified the following week it would be built on 6-22-23. I planned on watching the build so I postponed it until 7-6-23 when we got back in town from vacation. It was built on the 7th and now waiting for the call to pick it up. Its been quite some time since I have been this excited for a new vehicle.
  12. WOW, Im thinking you need to take this to another dealer. That sounds quite obvious and no way that is normal. My last 2 trucks I had had over 200k and none of them had sounds that were that bad.
  13. Has anybody tried getting the factory oem kit and install it from the 2016 trucks? I would think it is the same set up.
  14. Can I ask how many miles you have on it when they replaced the tires. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. I am really trying to be positive and not cynical and think they weren't trying to set me up but I got to admit that it did cross my mind. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. I have a close friend that bought the same truck but a GMC and has no issues. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  17. My 2015 crew cab is in the shop and they gave me an identical 2016 for a loaner and it is worse than my truck. I hope they arent setting me up to say it is normal for these trucks. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  18. How many miles were on your truck when the replaced the tire? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. I actually didn't report it until my second oil change at 15k. Long story with that too. Couldn't get it in for a simple oil change for over a week so I took it to another dealer, that's why I didn't report it first time. Went through the same thing at second oil change. 20. I complete agree, I had my 2015 crew cab in for the vibration and they found two tires were out of spec and couldnt be balanced properly so they replaced them... and it only cost me $198 to get 2 new tires on a truck with 15k miles. Has anybody else had to pay for their tires they had to have replaced? They were even going to make me pay for the balancing. AND GUESS WHAT, it still vibrates! have another appoint for tomorrow.
  21. I have experienced the same vibration issues but I would not say they are as bad as some and wouldnt label it as a shake but definitely an annoying vibration. I dropped my 2015 Chevy 4x4 crew cab with 15k miles off at the dealer yesterday and he stated that GM requests the dealers to first balance the tires but the customer must pay for the balance since it has more than 10k miles on it. I asked the dealer if it isnt the tires then will I still need to pay for the balancing and they stated yes i will. The conversation then got interesting (contentious) after I told him I didn't feel I needed to pay for his diagnosing my truck that is still under warranty. I just need to know if any body else has experienced this scenario where they had to pay for a balance job.
  22. After having issues of getting the correct oem kit for my 2015 I opted to go with the kit from Xkglow. I wanted to make sure I could turn it on and off in the rear of the truck and it also has a auto timer that well shut it off. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  23. I really hate to ask this but is there anyway you could sketch this setup down so it can be understood a little better. My electronics class in college was 30 some years ago and it's all just a little fuzzy to me if you know what I mean.Kinda of not sure of how to wire the switch. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  24. Mike 1220, do you think this technic would work on cargo lights as well? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
