  4. Another quick update.....we have road construction on a local highway so the speed is down to 55mph. My wife set the cruise control to 60 and got 28.5mpg!!! Also, one day when I was doing some running around, I nailed the throttle and the truck actually got a second gear scratch.......my 2015/5.3 would never do that. I’m very impressed with this truck! Im still contemplating getting a hand held tuner.......but I’m not sure if the gains will be noticeable with a 6.2....... it seems that a 5.3 gets more out of one? Kurt
  5. I received my AFE Momentum CAI Friday. It took me about an hour to install it as I’ve never done one before plus I cleaned around the area while the stock air cleaner was removed. The first thing I noticed was if you don’t get in to it, it’s quite. But when you accelerate, it’s pretty loud under the hood. I also noticed that it’s loud when I accelerate in V4 until it switches back to V8. Overall, I really like it. I’m not sure if I noticed HP gains, yet, but my wife and I drove on a 75 mile round trip on the highway cruising at 72mph and I averaged 24.5mpg (25 mile aver
  6. That SUCKS!!!! I based my decision on researching from websites and this test done on the Black Bear website with an actual 6.2 engine. http://blackbearperformance.com/IntakeTestResults_2016.asp Kurt
  7. Well, I bit the bulitt and purchased an AFE Momentum GT dry air filter. With everything I’ve read and all the data/dyno tests, it had the best results overall (roughly 10hp/15tq). Well see if I like it or not. I’m going to wait on a muffler just yet due to funds and I’m not sure what I’ll gain, if anything. Thanks again, Kurt
  8. Thanks for the replies. I think I’ll get a good Cold Air Intake for it first. I’d like to buy a used one but I want to make sure it’s a good one. I do do have a good friend who has an exhaust shop that does excellent work so if I decide to change anything on the exhaust, I’ll have him do it. The last thing would be some sort of a tuner that would help with performance.....but it seems there is a lot of different opinions on those too. Kurt
