  1. I just removed it with my fingers with some WD40. I have a black truck so I had a few small scratches but they polished up easily.
  2. You are correct! When removed, it improves offroad handling like you wouldn't believe. I wouldn't recommend removing it unless you know exactly what you're doing.
  3. That photo was taken after the swap haha but thanks! Plenty of room now.
  4. If you use a quality polishing compound and some elbow grease you can remove 95-99% of the hazing. I recommend Chemical Guys products.
  5. Good ole Amazon. https://amzn.com/B0110GNA9K
  6. Yeah... I took the previous 2.0s past their limit. Pretty sure both those coilovers are done for or need a complete rebuild. I didn't want to mess with them, so I got the Kings. I'm in the Mesa area but I go to lower Sycamore, Four Peaks, Butcher Jones, and areas near Maricopa. Pretty easy rides but I'm like Ricky Bobby and wanna go fast! I love Arizona lol
  7. Well, I got rid of the Fox 2.0s after an off-roading incident. Installed these King 2.5s and then reinstalled them last night after noticing they were technically on the wrong sides lol...
  8. Thanks! Ride is 10x better. I've done some aggressive off-roading recently and it's a completely different truck. I installed the shocks as they came to me but I got about 2.5"-2.6" of lift. I leveled it back out by installing a 2" rear blocks.
  9. I actually got a great deal on all four shocks on eBay! Still a nice chunk of money and it's definitely not for everyone, but it makes me happy and I intend to keep the truck for a very very long time.
  10. I recently installed Fox coilovers and later Cognito upper control arms to correct the bad angles seen here (lots of snap crackle pop too lol): Here's how it sits now: Complete set up: Install was okay. I had never done anything like it before, so I took my sweet time. It was exhausting but man was it fun. The wife unit was happy that we saved a little $$$ too lol. After all that, I installed a 2" block in the rear to give it a slight bit of rake (about 0.25")
  11. I'll PM you but its the best set of upgrades I've done so far. I'll never have another truck without this or a similar set up if I can help it.
  12. Did you call Dirt King and ask about their UCAs? (619) 944-8913

  14. Here's my 2015 5.3. I originally had a 2.5" leveling kit but decided to install Fox shocks on all corners, Cognito upper control arms, and a 2" block in the rear. I think I'm done for a while!
  15. For anyone that's interested I installed Fox 2.0 Coilovers up front at the factory set position (about 20 threads up from the bottom/ see photo) With factory steel suspension and LT285/70R17 BFGoodrich KO2s tires (at 38PSI), the distance between ground and fender is approximately 39.75"(after driving about 500 miles). Here's a couple photos showing the angles: My next step is to install the Cognito UCAs sometime in the next couple of weeks once they come in.
  16. Try holding down the town/haul button for 5 seconds and then release. It should read in the DIC "grade braking disabled". That should make the trans shift smoother in certain situations and may fix what you're experiencing. Credit goes to OmniGLH and his thread here: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/186752-interesting-progress-with-odd-trans-behavior-2015-6-speed/page-1
  17. As I was driving home from work last night I stopped by AutoZone to check and see if they had the clamps and they did. I've never really had any vibration issues as I've assumed the slight vibration was my BFG KO2s as my last truck with them was a little rough. However, I installed the clamps for kicks and boom, it feels considerably smoother at speeds of 50 and higher. At about 75 it starts to vibrate a little however. Definitely worth the $16! As a side note, I clamped them down to put the springs under load and used some locktite. Does anyone know of a source for the same dimension clamps but higher quality? Maybe 316 SS?
