    Had it just over a week, couldn't be happier previously I have driven Sierra's but with the new gen I prefer the Chevy.

    And I was really looking forward to getting the same illuminated bowtie for my truck too, but having now seen the level of brightness I am having second thoughts. Thank you for the write up.

    Have to agree on that one, I had a bed rug in my 15 Sierra then decided to get a spray in on my 18 as far as noise goes what a mistake. Also found going from a soft tonneau cover to a hard didn't help either (sigh!)

    Only got out on it twice last year because of fire bans, hopefully this year should be better? 2017 Arctic Cat Alterra TRV.

    So my final solution was to change my 15 Sierra SLE to an 18 Sierra SLT, having said that I had used the Morimoto HID kit in my 15 and as such had no major problems in the 2 1/2 years they were in there added to that the Morimoto XB led fogs and I found the ideal solution. Just as a foot note the lighting was not the reason I moved up in models, one of the major reasons was heated seats (she must be obeyed is much happier now too) amongst others!

    Finally installed the GM underseat storage box, now she can't complain about the groceries orbiting the rear floor!!!

    Thinking off the lower valance removal myself as I have caught it just once on a curb, I had previously parked at the same spot in my 13 Sierra which used to clear it no problems!

    Agreed! Also installed my Morimoto XB fogs today.

    So far so good, I put them in just below the projector housings yesterday morning then left the truck in the shop to help speed the process up, drove home last night in -10c conditions parked up in my own none heated garage and this morning not a sign of moisture. I guess the final proof will be when I wash the truck?

    Awesome, on order from same and expected this Friday, guess I can also use them in my gun safe too!

    Looks like i will finally be taking this route, with it being winter and lots of moisture here when i wash the vehicle both lamps get condensation in them. When i park up in the garage the LH clears overnight but the RH side seems to be taking a long time to clear, i think what doesn't help is the air cleaner obstructs any residual heat from the engine whereas the LH is wide open! Also it doesn't help that my drive to work is not even 5 minutes.

    As per the start of this thread, go online to The Retrofit Source, you can see the recommended kit that those who have installed have been talking about, you can select by vehicle.

    Same with mine, not sure if that changes with burn in either?

    Instead of reversing the plug when I did my install I actually swapped the pins over so when the plugs connected the lock still worked, don't know if that will help in this case?

    Agreed the bulbs can only go in one way, on my set I have a very minor high spot on the passenger side but it's further off to the right!

    So despite having an led's powered by a seperate relay harness kit I broke down and installed the Morimoto Elite hid kit today, 35w ballast and 5500k bulbs, have to admit they are what everyone in the forum claims...needless to say I am suitably impressed! Further to that I like the five year warranty too.

    So in answer to my own question, yes I just installed G7 4000 lumen led's in to my vehicle using the relay/harness/capacitor solution at the start of this thread and it appears to be flawless!

    Sorry, this question has probably already been answered but can these same harness solutions e.g (morimoto) be used for the latest LED kits too?

    Bought her in September 2015, swapped out the factory headlight bulbs for HID and Led's in the fogs, replicaart 20"s
