  1. 2024 Sierra Denali Ultimate in Sterling Metallic
  2. Did you purchase from Rockwall GMC? I just purchased my 2024 Denali Ultimate from them. Great price but less than thorough salesman and after sale info. Overall ok though.
  3. Only temporarily. There is definitely something wrong with the 2024 SW version as my 2023 worked great. The speedo on HUD & DIC have both gone away and GM CS has said to take it to the dealer, which is what the next step is. I'll post an update after that visit in a few weeks. I will not accept anything other than it working all the time on a list price truck of$89000!!! GM needs to rectify this ASAP!
  4. I'm having this same issue, similar chain of events. This seems to be a 2024 issue as my 2023 worked great. Talked with Onstar & GM customer support for hours, twice-resetting everything. The speed limit sign works only in certain areas and there's no rhyme or reason to it. It doesn't work at all where I live. My 2023 worked fine everywhere. GM told me it needs updating at the dealer, that's the next step for me.
  5. It's absolutely horrible. GM must have been given a ton of money for this crap!
  6. With the vehicle running and in park hold down the "end call" button for 15 seconds. Head unit will hard restart. You can also with the vehicle off open the driver door for 2 minutes. Not sure what this does but it was a troubleshooting step by Onstar. These were both told to me by Onstar to try and get my data and HUD speedo working. I just wanted to share the info here. If having Onstar issues or data issues you may also try resetting the head unit in the settings menu. Reset and clear everything out and start over. Clear the vehicle from your phone also.
  7. I had this same issue after my purchase went through, after the dealership let me use the truck for a few days until my check came in. I was on the dang phone with Onstar & GM rep's for over 2 hours. Terrible support. Finally an Onstar guy helped me with the following steps. There is a hidden reset for the head unit. With the truck on and running HOLD the 'end call' button until the head unit turns off (15 seconds). It will reboot and takes a few minutes. After it all boots up you may want to shut off the truck and open the driver door for "2 minutes". If this doesn't work, go through the process of resetting the settings in the 'settings' menu of the head unit. Reset & clear everything! Finally got all my speedo stuff and data working after that last step.
  8. GMC customer support is now in the mix, for what it’s worth. They contacted the dealer and relayed the same message I was told by the dealer. Not sure how that is helping but that’s the facts. I thought there might could be a way to contact other dealer parts dept.’s to try to find a headlight but I’m just using common sense. If I could I’d drill some holes to allow the condensation to escape until a new one is installed but I seriously doubt they’ll allow that. I’m sure the light can be remanned by someone but it’s going to be harder the longer it’s wet in there. I’m actually surprised it’s still working. I’ll update when I get it replaced.
  9. Is anyone experiencing dealers unable to do warrantied repairs for lack of parts available? Purchased my 2023 GMC Sierra SLT in January 2023. I've had a damaged (full of condensation) headlight since October and all I can get from the dealer SA is "it's on backorder". Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. If they can make new ones (which they obviously are) they can spare one for a truck under warranty.
  10. The view of my front wheels from the side is not clear (2023 Sierra). Anyone have a picture of how theirs looks? I need to take the truck in for rough idle, I might as well throw everything at them when I go.
  11. I couldn't agree more. It's not where you want it it's how much do you want it. Especially the one to the right of the steering wheel.
  12. I usually run aftermarket "Cold Air Intakes"(CAI) on all my vehicles. I have not looked at this trucks' air filter so I'm unsure what this Heavy Duty Air Filter actually is. I will look at it in the next few days just to lay eyes on it. My question is: has anyone exchanged this air filter for a K&N filter or any aftermarket CAI? Is it really that special of an air filter or is it just thicker or a higher priced GM filter? I did a search for this and found nothing and I'm a curious fella'. Just trying to fill in the holes here.
  13. Definitely glad I got the 2023 with the huge screen; my old a$$ eyes need it. I kind of like the button rail down lower though. I think I saw somewhere that they just changed the start button, maybe 2024.
  14. What'd you use to get them red?
  15. (TK10543) 2023 Sierra 1500 (5.3L) 4wd, X31, Texas edition, SLT Premium; Summit White. Born on 5 DEC 2022, purchased on 31 Jan 2023. I really like not needing to lift the front end 2"! The truck is super level, even though my pictures are crooked. "MODS" 18 Feb 23: bullet antenna, tri-fold aluminum bed cover, All lights on & reverse lights all on jumpers. Sierra door sill's and red front tow hooks incoming.
  16. What level is LTD? Is that "Limited"? I'm not aware of that level but I'm new to GMC Sierra. I've seen a bunch of different interior pictures and I can't tell what's what (2020-2022). The exterior is also hard to nail down. I look up 2022 Sierra and there are like 3 different front ends. It's all very odd and confusing. I guess I'm glad I got mine this year, 2023. I'm new to GMC, was always a Silverado driver, and the levels have changed quite a bit since around 2016 (last time I bought a truck). Now there are different SLT levels, which is very confusing and not good for business in my opinion. Maybe it's all to do with the sucky supply issues.
  17. What does this entail? How do you know what it is or if you have it? Do all 2023's have whatever it is?
  18. Just got a new 2023 GMC SLT X31 with pretty much every option. Mirror 'spot lights'? I mean they're cool and all when you're in park, fairly bright as well. But I have no idea what their "function" is for. Anyone?
  19. From my recent experience, go to your dealer with your VIN.
  20. Where’d you mount those lower reverse lights? Looks good man. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. The ONLY color as far as I'm concerned! I removed the Texas Edition emblems (that sucked!) and added the 10" Z71 emblems.
  22. Rough Country 2” leveling kit, 2017 Z71. Not the best picture. It’s now about 3/4-1” high out back, a bit less than 2 full inches of lift. Got it done at a local shop. It’s crazy how much of a difference it makes in the feel looking out over the hood. Definitely like it. No ride or drive difference, all good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. These trucks with the electric steering definitely take some getting used to. I think it feels too loose or touchy also. I wish we could tighten it up some. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I initially thought it’d be cheaper than it is. The last time I did this it was maybe $50 for the whole deal. It makes a difference when you have more cars than available remotes, those remotes aren’t cheap these days. Thanks for the info for those that helped. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I would like to add the buttons to the overhead console and am trying to square away the parts needed. Looking at online schematics I have found the following parts. Has anyone tried this yet? I did this with an older Malibu a couple of years ago, it's basically finding a hot wire and tapping into it, fairly simple if you have the right pieces. I'm guessing you need the transmitter which kind of sucks because it lists for around $100. the other 2 parts are pretty cheap. Any tips or pointers?
