  1. I use it all the time in the hot weather. If imagine that they don’t put auto up for the same reason they don’t put auto up rear windows, kids. I remember being a kid and I had my head out the window (we were in the driveway, just got home) and my mother started to roll the windows up and didn’t notice I had my head out. I started to yell and mom noticed lol. Granted, they could have pressure sensors that if they detected more than normal resistance, they would go back down, like a garage door.
  2. I have 21xxx on my 16’ and it’s been great. Love using e85 $1.75 a gallon is great!!!
  3. Ice and beer wouldn't be great with the heat, unless you can find a $500 yeti cooler that fits there lol
  4. Cool idea. Not sure exactly what I would put in there tho.
  5. This looks like it on amazon. Hopkins SC-CHA Go Gear Console, (Charcoal) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FGEF64/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_EL4QybF298KZH Found it on autozone: http://m.autozone.com/interior-organization-and-cargo-management/console/hopkins-console/266300_0_0?location= Autozone is black in color. The amazon one is gray (charcoal)
  6. I ripped off the side label but I believe I left the UPC code and I also have the receipt. I tried to scan the UPC code and search for it on amazon, but not the exact one came up
  7. 2 days driving with it, has not budged. I have nothing heavy in it either.
  8. $15 bucks at Auto Zone. I couldn't take stuff sliding into the foot wells.
  9. good to know! I need to go look at it or maybe someone would post a pic?
  10. If you were that concerned about not having a cap over the fill neck, red neck it. Go to Home Depot and buy an 1 ½" plumbing gen cap. It's basically a rubber cap that you can fit onto the end of pipes as a temporary means of capping the line. It tightens on with hose clamp. Remove hehose clamp and just push it on. I don't have a capless truck so I am guessing on the size of the opening. You may be able to find something smaller. But at least if you get the rubber one you push it on and pull it off. If no one is having issues with this system and manufacturers are still implementing it after a number of years, it must be working.
  11. Just as a reference point the boat is 21'. Would I plow with the truck, probably not. I wouldn't say the v8s are unnecessary because having more power is always better lol. If I used the truck more as a work truck or something to that effect, I would say your probably better off with the 5.3 at least there is no chance of disappointment lol.
  12. I have the 4.3L. I am very pleased. I do wish that they could have tuned it for 300hp from the factory. I am running e85 for the extra boost in power. But I have to say, between pulling my friends boat out of the water into his trailer, was the most demanding thing I have done with it. I also pulled out bushes with the tow hooks. Worked like a champ. I couldn't justify spending the extra on the v8 per month for a truck I basically drive to the train station 5 days a week. It's amazing how expensive cars/ trucks have gotten. I have a 16 LT Allstar v6 and the sticker price is around $46,000. Granted it's not a huge boat but it worked great
  13. Man do I need this. I have a box of tissues that I keep down there and it continously rolls around.
  14. I park my truck in my driveway which is kind of on a slight incline. I have noticed a little bit of water pooled up there, but nothing major. Like someone else has said, you see the wind against it rippling the water and as soon as you stop it all goes over the front.
  15. I love how he mythbustered the sh*t out of this lol
  16. if you shake it more than twice, your playing with it.
  17. Like the above member posted about his car has a flap to keep water out, I'm guessing there is a hole somewhere to allow the water to drain out so it doesn't just drop in nice you go to fuel up. Idk how reliable those spring loaded flaps are. Would be a PITA to fix if it ever broke
  18. Where did you hear that his is federal law? I'm curious to see if their is any explanation for it from the government.
  19. I know the grand Cherokee didn't have a gas cap a few years ago. Not sure if they ever put them back on but I agree it's foolish not to have one. What's the reason to not have it, weight reduction?
  20. If it's only $1000 to make it longer, sign me up! Lol. My friend had an ecoboost loaner. That thing moves. But from a stop it takes a while for it get going.
  21. I noticed this the first time it rained after I got it. Once you start to drive and hit the brakes it rolls off the front. I could see the ice being an issue, having a nice amount of ice built up on the hood, but not enough to be a problem.
  22. CC 4x4 4.3L 2016. Not a bad motor, I am running e85 to get the extra boost in power tho.
  23. I got running boards used for $50 :-)
  24. I wanted the solid glass on mine. I don't like how small the opening in the window is. I really wish more manufacturers would make the whole back window sliding glass like Toyota has.
