i have the power down but not the power up option. So not sure if yours would be pre wired.

you know which wires those were? You’d be a God if you could give us, non electrically savvy, the knowledge of how to read the pin outs and which wires to tap into. Lol luckily my tailgate had the harness so i was able to plug it in and run the bottom tailgate as usual, just haven’t been able to get the top one to open up, since i didn’t originally have that.

Mike, did you have to do any rewiring of your harness? I switched my tailgate and everything worked besides the tailgate step function, can't seem to get it to open and can't find anything in the forums or online. thoughts?

@b marks did you end up trying that? And did it work? I’m in the same boat. Bought the multipro tailgate for a heck of a deal and trying to make it work. Locking works, and so does video, remote dropping tailgate works as well, it’s just the smaller portion of the tailgate doesn’t drop at all. Seems like my harness is definitely missing that pin

Reviving an old thread here but by “adding a new connector” did you mean you just tapped into the right wars from drivers to passenger? Or actually crimp a new end and put new pins into harness? working on this upgrade and can’t seem to find any how tos.

Going to keep a tab on this, I'm going thru this as well on my Silverado baby diesel. Equipped with cloth seats with heat and only power on the driver side and manual on the passenger side. I swapped out the rear bench seat to the leather ones i found, they came with a harness that my truck didn't come equipped with (heated option i'm assuming), just ziptied it outta the way. Put in both the passenger and driver seats and didn't get power to either one. I already didn't have power on the passenger so i figured I'd need to pigtail power from the driver to the passenger. But the drivers side didn't work either even though i already had power option originally. Kinda stumped, I'll keep looking for a solution.

hey Larry, sorry for for reviving a dead topic here. do you remember which wires you tapped into? And dimensioning for hole spacing? i did this on a 2016 and wondering if it’s the same or if wiring changed.

Clark, definately appreciate you posting this!! so just for others researching wanting to do the same thing. I called the number you referenced above and when they asked for a part number i just provided them the cluster part number telling them I only needed the "Cluster Lens" which was 30 bucks. Ground shipping was $6 to TX and overnight was $10 so for $36 bucks I'll replace the lens of my cluster at a way cheaper price than the quoted 400 from the dealer!! Thanks again man!!

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but do you remember what the part number it is that you use? I have a cracked 2016 Denali Cluster and the dealership is telling me they don't sell the clear lens alone and can't give me a part number for it. That'll I'll have to trade in my old one and they'll send me a whole new cluster for ONLY $400 bucks!!
