  1. That's about the exact same way that my '16 Z71 Silverado is acting. Must be a NY thing LOL. I'll be contacting the dealer again next week and set up visit number 3. What a bunch of bullshit. Thank you GM....
  2. Huge congrats JesseD!! Look'n good Best of luck with the new ride.
  3. I'm about 2 seconds from giving up and driving it how it is Don't give up Schmidt!! That's exactly what the fuk'rs want.
  4. Welcome to the club Mr. Duck
  5. Smarty pantz
  6. When it's cold outside the 1st few miles on the highway are fairly smooth. Get more of the vibes after driving for a bit... fk'n weird.
  7. Thank you again daleone3! I've mentioned here before that I figured GM and their engineers knew the cause/causes of the vibration problem. I'd bet the fk'n GM bean counters have sat in smoke filled rooms several times discussing ways to avoid the issue as best they can and as long as they can. Pretty sad, especially after we bailed the SOBs out with our tax money. And jerking customers off like they have been, and will likely continue to do, will do nothing but hurt their customer base. Well, at least it sounds like they realize (hopefully) something has to be done.... bulletin will prolly happen sometime after hell freezes over LOL.
  8. Thanks - That would be great!!
  9. I realize it's bullshit. These jerks must assume I/we just fell off the cabbage truck. Thanks... I am documenting everything. And in the spirit of cooperation, I am cooperating and will continue to do so, to a degree. I like my truck and truly do hope a dealer fix occurs, but I'm not too optimistic about that. I plan contact GM if no dealer fix is done after a couple of more visits, or if the dealer continues to try and bullshit me. My outlook is this; if you can't fix my truck ok, just tell me. Don't lie and or insult my intelligence. I have no plans to just go away.
  10. Dealer told me the vibe was being caused by the "aggressive tread" of my Bridgestone Duelers on my Sierra Z71. Must be that's what GM is telling the dealers to put out as the 1st excuse, then go on with the BS from there.
  11. Seats in my '07 SLE II were cloth and quite a bit more comfy than the seats in my '16 chebby Z71. But maybe after 9 years of driving my SLE the seats and my azz kind'a bonded, formed a good relationship LOL.
  12. My Harley Road King vibrates less than my '16 Chebby Z71.... whats that tell ya LOL
  13. I was originally looking at the Colorados and Canyons when I bought my vibrating Silverado. Wish I got one of those instead. I looked thru the mid size truck threads here on the site and vibration seems to be an almost non issue with the mid sizers. Canyon would be the bomb with a 5.3 LOL
  14. Wow, that REALLY sux JesseD. Sorry to hear it. Thru various sources I have read/learned a little about the Denali magnetic suspension. I can understand why/how the mag suspension would better isolate the passenger compartment and reduce the vibration felt in the cab. But it seems that, all the mag suspension is actually doing, is doing a better job at masking the the vibration than the conventional suspension does. The vibration is still there and most likely caused by a rotating part, or parts, of the drive train. And or maybe a frame or aerodynamic issue... or all of the above? Regardless, I'm confident the GM engineers know what the problem is. Too bad GM won't be honest and fill us in on what the issue is. Hope and pray for a whistle blower. Where the hell is Wikileaks when ya need them!?!? So, what's your game plan? Can you hold off on your deal with GM until the 2018's come out?
  15. I'm not jealous ... I am not jealous ... I AM NOT jealous!!!
  16. I'm going to look into having the shaft checked. I need to find a place where I can wait for it while it's being done. I'm an old fart and live alone, tough to get rides here and there, which was a big part of the reason I sold my '07 and bought a new truck. So much for that bright idea....
  17. See my "edit" note in post 11
  18. Same here, winter's coming. Water stays in/on mine until I get to the 1st stop sign. Slow down and water starts to roll off. Get to about 10-20 mph on the stopping process, and the wa wa goes air born and washes the windshield for me. Pro's and cons I guess LOL.
  19. Thanks for that link Jesse D. I'm keeping a file on my shake related issues and info on that link will be included. Yesterday the service dept gave me the "it's the tires" story. Could be bad tires I guess... I dunno. Just over 1500 miles on the truck now, and service manager says drive truck to 2500 miles and call if the vibes still exist. Service manager told me the tread pattern on the Bridgestone A/Ts is aggressive and the lugs are causing the vibes. We discussed that for a bit, and we agreed to disagree. I'm sure he knows the tread pattern has absolutely nothing to do with the vibes, but he has a job to do. His job is to wear ya down and hope ya go away... not gonna happen. Anyways, SM said at 2500 miles the service dept. will switch tires/wheels from another truck to see if there's an improvement. Would be nice if shit tires is all it is, but I'm not real optimistic about that. So until I hit the 2500 mile mark guess I'll just keep an eye open for the TSB on the shakes LOL
  20. So I delivered my '16 Silverado Z71 to the dealer this AM, 2nd visit to the dealer for the "shakes". Young guy from the service dept just called and says truck is ready to be picked up. He said a tech and service manager both drove the truck, and both experienced the shake. He said it was determined the shake is caused by the tire treads, and there is nothing they can do about it. I asked why nothing can be done. Guy says there's nothing they can do about the tire treads, and I can speak with the service manager when I come in to pick up the truck. What are these guys trying to pull here? Are tires now supposed to cause a vehicle to shake/vibrate, and that's now part of the purchase agreement?? I'm pissed to the point now, that I have the fk'n shakes such that it's difficult to type this!! Am I gonna be told that I'm supposed to accept the tires, and the shakes? Sorry for the rant fella's but I'm pissed... Think I gotta calm down some before I go to pick up my $45K vibrator :o( Oh... any advice on this would be muchly appreciated.... thanks
  21. If still under warranty I'd hound the dealer. PIA but ... Funny / sad how we come to depend on the bells and whistles on these trucks.
  22. Sux...I sold my perfectly good/smooth running '07 SLE due to bad rust issues, and bought me a 2016 LT Z71. Paid allot of $$ for a vibrator. It's pretty though, I love the red paint and those heated seats.... just don't like driving the damn thing. Hard to believe GM has allowed the vibe shit to carry over to the '17s. How stupid can ya get?
  23. All that makes sense. And I totally agree that GM needs to figure out why they vibrate, if for no other reason so the problem doesn't carry on to new platforms. I'm and old fart, retired, and no way I can afford to get screwed at this point in my life. All I can do is hope the fk they figure the vibe out and fix it.
  24. I'm guessing GM knows what the problem/s is and for whatever reason they refuse to address the problem/s.
  25. My '16 Z71 gets dropped of tomorrow AM for the shakes, visit #2. We'll see how that goes....I'm hope'n. I'll post results be they good or not so good.
