  1. Finally replaced my thermostat. It fixed the issue. Engine stays at 210°.
  2. Did you figure out the what was causing the temp to fluctuate?
  3. My truck went in for warranty work because the passenger side lifters failed, which required them to remove the radiator. I got my truck back about a month ago and the engine temperature gauge has been doing the exact same thing as your describing. It fluctuates between 190-210 constantly. Before I took my truck in, it would stay perfectly at 210 all the time. I've tried purging the radiator to see if there was any air stuck in the system with no luck. Let me know if you find out what the cause is.
  4. PM JoeCCS on this site. He is usually quick to respond. Also, I would suggest adding the pro series check valve and clean side separator.
  5. I have had the Elite E2 and the UPR on my 2015 Silverado. The UPR catches more oil and the hoses and connections are 10x better than the Elite. I had to replace the Elite hoses due to them collapsing. If you decide to go with the UPR, there is a UPR vendor on this forum that offers a discount for GM-Trucks.com forum members. The UPR is pricey, but well worth it over the Elite IMO.
  6. No, I didn't replace the bearings. They seemed fine when I was inspecting them. I did replace the seals though. Does yours have the rear end shake? My shake was coming from rear end and I never felt in the steering wheel.
  7. I know the Bilsteins are an improvement over the stock Rancho's, I'm looking for some input from people with the z60 suspension package and have added Bilstein 5100s or 4600s to their truck. I have read that some people say its rougher and some say smoother with the z60. My stock black shocks are starting to leak with just 55k miles on them. I don't really want to replace them with the black OEM shocks if they only last roughly 50k miles. Thanks
  8. 2015 Chevrolet Crew Cab 5.5' Bed 5.3L 6-Speed 3.42 70+ mph Solutions: Driveshaft rebalanced, roadforced balanced all 4 tires, & front end alignment by independent shops. Better but still there. Replaced both rear axles shafts with Yukon Gear axles, vibration free since
  9. Does the slight vibration from 45-60 mph feel the same as the higher speed vibration/shake did?
  10. Here's the shipping confirmation I got.
  11. Thanks. It was right at $650 for both rear axles, seals, lug nut studs, and fluid. I installed them myself and reused the diff gasket because it's rubber. I'm assuming a 4x4 shop would charge 2-3 hours worth of labor or less.
  12. Nice video. Here's a video I took over the weekend after driving on the interstate for about 30 mins. It has now has been over 800 shake free miles since replacing both rear axles with Yukon axles. One week before I replaced the axles, I took the truck to a local shop and did a front alignment and a regular road force balance on the tires. The shake was better, but it was still there. That's when I decided to replace the axles. I did notice that the local shop used less wheel weights than what the dealership used. So I'm not sure if my truck needed less wheel weights + new axles or even if the alignment helped. Whenever the crap Goodyear SRAs wear out, I will try a regular spin balance with the new tires and I will know for sure.
  13. Message me your findings too
  14. How many miles did it take for yours to start shaking again? Whenever I had my driveshaft rebalanced, I thought it was fixed but after about a week of driving it started again. It's been 20 days and almost 800 miles since replacing the axles and the truck has been shake free since. I'm paranoid about it but the truck has never been smoother
  15. Yes, read back a few pages.
  16. I had the 70+ mph shake/shimmy. It was the worst at 82 mph and on smooth roads. It felt like an out of round or out of balance rear tire but we all know it isn't the tires. It could be felt the in the center console, floor boards, and seats. I never felt it in the steering wheel. It was basically the same symptoms as all the YouTube videos. I really wish I would have taken a video before swapping axles
  17. Here's an update on my truck since it has been 2 weeks since I installed Yukon Gear rear axles. The truck has been shake free since installing them. I have driven on multiple smooth highways at 70+ mph and no shaking. Here's an update on my truck since it has been 2 weeks since I installed Yukon Gear rear axles. 18. Yeah I do, I'll try to get an estimate on shipping and I'll pm you
  19. It ended up being right at $650 for axles, seals, fluid, and lug nut studs.
  20. I never took actual measurements of the run out because the axle flange was out of round. After installing them, I have not felt the shake again. I'm going to wait a couple of more weeks of driving before I say the truck is shake free.
  21. I just replaced both rear axles with Yukons. It didn't shake when i went for a test drive after i installed them. I'll give a better update whenever I go for an extended drive on the interstate
  22. I just replaced both rear axles with Yukon axles and took it for a test drive on the interstate for about 45 minutes. I set the cruise at 82 mph and that's where it use to shake the worst. I don't want to say the wobble is 100% gone just yet bc it felt like it was there sometimes and I don't know if I'm just super sensitive to it now. It defiantly is smoother at highway speeds after the axle replacement. I will update the issue later after I take an extended trip on the highway.
  23. Can you explain what this is? I googled it and nothing comes up.
