  1. If those XD Buck wheels had come in 18, I would have put them on my Pepperdust truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Which stock UCAs do you have? If aluminum or stamped steel (not cast) you'll rub the UCAs before you hit the sway bar. Generally on the stock wheels the limitation is the UCA because people want to go wider than they do tall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Where's the pic, bro? You liked your pic-less post [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. There's a massive thread on wheel+tire setups that will provide you a wealth of information and more assurance than one person telling you an answer here. And there's also a lot of recent threads where people ask that info, like this one Biggest tire/rim on stock 2014 chevy silverado? https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/202531-Biggest-tire-rim-on-stock-2014-chevy-silverado Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Did you pull your truck into the living room to put those on? Either that or you have wood floors in your shop/garage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I got my Kings coilovers and rears from AutoAnything at a price that beat MRT by a ways. That said, I couldn't get a response from MRT via forum PM to see if they would match it, then found out afterwards that it's better to email MRT because they respond quicker that way. Regardless, AA worked with me when I needed the Kings shipped to a different address during a move and they also worked with King to expedite the coilovers after they were notified of the shipping date slipping. The Chat feature on autoanything.com is your friend [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's tempting. I'm going to put a rack/platform on the shell with tracks and am considering getting something similar for the cab instead of the clamp-down feet so it will match and be the same height. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Finally got around to getting an 'after' pic. Well, maybe a in-between pic as I don't have the wheels and tires on yet. Kings and Cognitos on the front, Kings and a 3" Readylift block on the back. My floor jack wouldn't quite get the frame high enough to stick the new block in, so I had to get creative. The frame is still on jack stands, this was just to compress the springs [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I grew up in Nebraska, I'm intimately familiar with what stalks can do to a truck AND your skin [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I put the first ones on my truck this weekend. Those first ones always hurt haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The wheels are working fine right now, but I'm planning on replacing them with 18's when I get new tires. You can easily tell why folks have issues running wider tires on the stock wheels - check this super crappy picture. And it's not even at absolute full lock, only where the wheel will stay by itself - it was dark, I was greasy, and I didn't have a strap readily available to keep the wheel cranked. 12. Looks great. I really like the white lettering out here, it looks good on the tall sidewalks and really gives some nice contrast to the color matching on the rest of the truck [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Finally got my Cognitos and Kings put on the front end - I'm been in the process of moving interstate so my tools are finally all in the same place and I could get this done. Apologies for the lack of a full truck finished pic - I had to finish up the passenger side in the dark. The driver's side took several hours, primarily because I couldn't get the spindle to bust loose with the tried and true hammer technique (I beat the hell out of it for 45 min) so I had to run out and get a pickle fork. And it took me beating the piss out of the pickle fork, demolishing the grease boot, and jacking the LCA up and down several times to get it to bust loose!! I've never had one this difficult, and the truck only has 10k on it so it should be relatively un-seized. The passenger side was only marginally better - maybe it's something to do with the cast steel UCAs? The passenger side was done in about 90 minutes, including having to drag out lights and move them around constantly. Now to do the rears and put some new shoes on her. Added note: for anyone who is putting Cognitos on themselves, watch out for the logo plate when installing the strut - it's a sharp unfinished edge and can easily slice the hell out of you [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Worried about what? Buying them and not having them fit, and then not being able to return them? I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about the absolute PITA it would be to install the level/lift, do the alignment, buy and put on tires only to find out they don't fit, then have to fight to get a refund for the lift (or tires) from them AND uninstall everything to send the lift back. The install, uninstall, pray, reinstall part just sounds horrible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Heck no, I just think it's vague advertising and I'm more more likely to buy from a manufacturer who is either more clear or conservative in their claims and definitions. I would love to find a thread/post where someone fits 35's under a 2.5" level or 2.5-3" coilover application, complete with clear pics and directions of what, if any, needed trimmed and the specs of the rest of their setup (UCAs, specific tire, wheel size and offset, etc). I'm getting ready to put King 2.5's on my front end and if I was sure I could fit wide 34's or 35's in there based on solid evidence, I would be all over it [emoji1360] So I'm glad you're bringing this up and maybe finding some details/scenarios. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Assuming that's not you, have you talked with that guy to see what sort of trimming had to be done? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. 3.5" lift? 35" tires? I'm not sure what you mean here. Edit: nvm, just saw your post above. I got confused when you brought the wheel comment into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That's marketing, plain and simple. Their website doesn't specify what make/model the 35's can fit on, or what width the tires are. "Up to 35 inch tires (on select applications)" isn't the same as saying "will fit 35x12.5 tires on GMC 1500 4WD, with a max of 4.75" backspacing on the wheels". As someone already mentioned, that 35" claim is likely on a different make of truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Looks fantastic [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I haven't seen anyone run 35's with a 2.5 level, much less a 2". If you find someone running them with that, please report back. Even stuffing 34's in there is really pushing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Definitely [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Without the picture, I really had no idea what tires or rims you even had. The Duratracs came on your truck, then you put 20" Duratracs on but somehow also traded for 20" stock wheels and tires, and now you're definitely selling those stock tires and saying they work well although you only ran them for 3k (and you're offering to sell them to someone that is looking for good mileage out of them). And you might be selling the wheels, too? Did I miss anything? [emoji54] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You wrapped the back pillars too, huh? That's definitely unique, I think I like it. Do you have any more pictures, maybe with a shot of the whole truck? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Did you have to take the tonneau off to put the sport bar on? I'm not a big fan of the sport bars, I think they look gaudy. But that might just be a bias based on the type of trucks I saw them on when I was younger. To each their own [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'll have to get it for you tomorrow, sorry. The dealer called yesterday and let me know my new gas pedal was in, so I dropped it off a bit unexpectedly. The old pedal was sticking about 80% of the way down. Almost like you had it to the floor, but then when you really get on it, it slides past whatever was catching it (maybe a detent or burr in the machining or something??) and then goes all the way down. The service manager said he didn't notice any issue when I had it in for the first oil change, so I had to have the tech come sit in it while I was there and stomp on the pedal. After which he said "oh yeah, definitely not working right. We will order you a new one". Awesome service so far from Garcia Buick in Santa Fe, I recommend them if you're in the area and need anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. More details please. What width wheels? If aftermarket, what offset? And what brand/model tire? Anything else aftermarket, like UCAs or anything? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
