  1. I'll try to remember to snap one tomorrow. It's a huge difference in the front profile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm looking forward to seeing your Philips vs Samsung comparison if you do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I rubbed quite a bit on my '09, I would like to avoid that on new '17. It drove me nuts. I also don't think 35's would work, unless they were 10" width and then they would still rub on the liner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yep, that's my concern. That and I would actually prefer 18's over 20's. I like the thicker sidewalk look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I've thought about trying to find some A/T wheels to go with Pepperdust truck, but the dang offset/BS is what holds me back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. What did the TPMS tell you they were at before the re-learn? A handheld gauge might be a good investment, too... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was waiting to take the air dam off until I got my coilovers installed, but I couldn't wait anymore. Especially after almost ripping it off on a railroad tie parking spot marker. I did have a bit of assistance from my helper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Are those color matched, powerfold tow mirrors? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I will admit there's a few times when I drill the back of my head on the back window hinge that I think "I wish I had gotten the higher cap". Then I come to my senses and realize that I really prefer the cab-high look. That one looks nice, but not really my style. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The climate control section pops out the back of the entertainment area once that part is pulled off the dash. I'm not sure that's going to help you, as I don't know if the climate portion comes apart at all. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the backside of the climate controls, as I was messing with the screen. But I do have a shot of where it pops out of so you can an idea of what I'm talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Definitely some tow mirrors [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sorry, but I think that would look horrible. Different shades of black/grey/silver are one thing, clashing shades of brown/tan are another. Perhaps I would think it might look good if I did it, but I'm really not willing to spend cash on something that I think would likely look bad, at least to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I had looked for one for awhile, and found a two 100XRs and one 100XQ in Phoenix, both blue. But this was up in western CO and I was headed there anyway. If anyone is interested in the details of the ones in PHX, shoot me a PM. They were all around 1k and one of the 100XRs had a roof rack already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Got my topper color matched today - looks great, right? [emoji6] I just picked this guy up today while on a trip. I knew it was Brownstone/Bronze Alloy so I wasn't expecting it to match Pepperdust. But even after a paint job it will still be less than 1/2 of a new one [emoji1360] It does show the contrast between the two paint colors well, though. Despite the filthy nature of the truck. 14. You need to pay attention to what version your control arms are (cast steel vs stamped steel vs alum) and what offset/backspacing people are running. There are reports of people rubbing with 305/50r20s, but I think they are on stock wheels with stamped arms. Others have run that with the same thing with minimal to no rubbing. So I think the control arms are the differences. Moving from a stock offset (assuming +27 on a stock 20" wheel) to a +20 offset will gain you a little bit, but you still may not clear the control arms completely if they are stamped or alum. 15. I do. This version of the feet fit kit from Thule doesn't crush the weatherstripping like the '09 model did. Instead, you pull away the weatherstripping and the clamp goes straight on the body. It seems to be much improved, although it is a bit unnerving peeling it back for the first install. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was, too. The Thule "fit" page is really crap. I had the feet for my '09 Silverado and looked at the site and thought they would work for '17. The overall model of the feet are the same, but it requires a different "fit kit" or something, which is the longer, contoured metal clamps and different rubber pads to fit the roof. You have to be an expert at ambiguous website deciphering to figure that out though. Luckily REI carried the right "fit kit" locally [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Took off the Thule racks and got some pics today. I hope they help. The foot back for these trucks come with the little foam spacer piece. I guess it helps the foot not scratch the paint and mold to the door frame..? You do have to pull down your weatherstripping to install these, which required a good bit of leverage. The weatherstripping isn't loose now, but does have a little more give in that area now. Barely noticeable though, I tried to video it but couldn't really show it. I'm thinking it will tighten back up with the sun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm guessing the edges of your tire rubbed, right? The extra 1/4" width of the STT Pros would make that worse, I think. I'm not doing any rock crawling, but my truck sees it fair share of higher speeds on crappy forest service roads.
  19. So far they haven't done so, but they've only been on for two weeks. I'm going to take them off this week and can report back. They appear to be contoured pretty well to avoid tearing up the rubber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I'm curious to see this. I've been contemplating trying 295/70r18 STT Pros when I put Kings on the front, but I think those are wider than the Trail Graps in the same size, albeit slightly shorter, so it would likely cause issues. Is yours purely a highway cruiser, or do you go off-road at all? I would think these might not rub with trimming, but might have some contact under a bit of articulation. 21. I'll be driving in snow and ice regularly so I've been leaning away from Nitto's. The Terra Graps I had on my old truck were horrible in the winter and I've heard that the Trails aren't much better. So I've been eyeing the BFG K02's or the Cooper STT Pros. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I love seeing the pictures of what people consider "dirty" [emoji23] I got Pepperdust on purpose because it hides the casual dirt well. But sometimes even it starts looking two tone after a bit of fun. Still trying to make a decision on wheels and tires, but I can definitely say the stock rubber didn't inspire much confidence this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Ha I'm glad I asked. I notice some minor vibrations when I really stare at mine, and it's good to know that doesn't fix it. A piece of dampening rubber or something under the mount might work, but that also might not fit under the bezel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. They're Thule bars and the Thule Portage canoe brackets. I can say I'm very happy with these. Going 85-90MPH w/ 30 MPH crosswinds in west TX make the canoe shudder a little, but it doesn't move at all. That's also tied down well though, mind you. Two cam buckle straps and a front/rear ratchet rope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Did you put the extra two screws in for the mount? I just put the factory one back in and couldn't bring myself to screw the provided two extras into my dash and make new holes. It seems very sturdy to me without those - way more than most other phone mounts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
