  1. Well I just opened it on iPhone and I sent it to my friend with a Samsung. It opens on MacOS. Not sure what to tell you. Windows 11 is old as hell…I just used the example to show it can be opened on even old operating systems. It is pretty hilarious that we are focusing on the photo and not the actual topic. I’ve explained what’s happening in my post. Yet have only received messages regarding the file extension…… Figured I would ask here since there are other owners of the same truck, and perhaps they’ve used a specific product or method on their frames. I remember reading something a couple of years ago about getting the wax coating. But couldn’t seem to find it when I did a search on here. Thanks anyway.
  2. It’s there. Click the link. It’s heic which is a file extension iPhone formats its photos into. Was opened no issues on Windows 11..
  3. It doesn’t actually….. As stated by the other member, it’s the file format for iPhones and iPad photos, which is what I used to take the photo with.
  4. As the title states, I am looking for recommendations for mainly frame rust repair/prevention tips from those who may have experienced this. I have attached a photo for reference on what I’m dealing with. For the record, I have a 2017 All-Terrain that I’m not seeing these issues, so I’m not sure if it was coated better from the factory, or different material was used in the 2019 refresh. My trailer hitch is even rusting. I drove it for the first 50,000 km in an environment where they use sand instead of salt on the roads in the Winter. So it’s quite surprising at the extent of rust I’m seeing. I was leaning towards oil spray, but I’m not too sure if this will actually help or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking for members who have actually had this issue and rectified it. Rust.HEIC
  5. Of course not……GM wants to make cash from their service department to make up for lack of sales during Covid. But the method I used worked perfectly. MANY people have used the same method with no issues.
  6. I literally just used it to retract mine a month ago. I suggest your techs do a little more research. I followed the steps in the video on YouTube to put the vehicle into Service Mode and take it out of Service Mode. The (P) with a wrench under it will flash. What do you suggest that means other than Service Mode??? Of course GM wants you to come in and pay some ridiculous amount of money to hook up a scanning tool and overpay for a brake job…. Use the link below. It’s the exact one I used. https://youtu.be/xiS7KHmjVtY?si=sexJhBOGIOFWJcrf
  7. I recently did my rear brakes on my 2019 AT4 and also noticed uneven wear. But this was the same case for my fronts that I did last Fall. You do not require a specific tool for the rear brakes. There are many YouTube videos showing how to put the truck into Service Mode. This will retract the pistons and you can do the brake job like any other brake job without e-brake applications.
  8. This is their "go-to" answer. They're full of it. I have a 2019 AT4 and there was apparently a TSB out for uneven pad wear....The solution was to replace the pads and rotors, no other explanation. Part number changed completely as well...so I'm leaning towards the fact that the pads and or rotors were garbage that shipped with the trucks, maybe poor material or something. I was never offered this for when I had my brakes checked. I've attached a couple of photos for you to compare. You can see how mine was embossed, not a groove. The pads had a groove in them, but the rotors had material raised. Which is not rust or a valid answer. My friend who is a GM mechanic told me their standard answer for this issue is exactly what you said. I told him the same, I drive daily, truck does not sit. Basically it's a bullshit answer. I ended up replacing my pads and rotors and I only have 57,000kms, never towed or had heavy loads in the back.
  9. So I replace my front rotors with new rotors, that I cross-referenced my VIN number with. Check out the photo below for reference. They drag on the caliper. Has anyone experienced this? The calipers don't float or have slide pins as you know, so the caliper just sits stationary in that position. Any ideas? Anyone hear of this being an issue with the trucks? I had some odd wear on the rotors I removed. That's why I swapped them to begin with. Not indentations like you would get from worn pads, but almost like two raised lines. Is it possible these rotors are slightly out of spec and they're supposed to sit that close to the edge of the caliper body? Thanks for any help and input.
  10. You're lucky to be honest. I have a 2019 AT4, and the trim around both if my foglights, as well as parts of my grille have majorly peeled and flaked off. Just for reference, I don't use harsh chemicals or drive down gravel roads where I have a lot of chips to cause this issue. I asked my dealer and they said they would split the cost of the repair. But they wanted me to pay over $1000....Each foglight surround is $134. I'm talking Canadian dollars. So you can do the math on the labour they wanted to charge me to partially unclip my bumper cover on each side.
  11. I have the same issue with my 2019 and iPhone 12 Pro Max. I never had an issue before, and now it won’t charge. I’ve tried with my daughter’s iPhone 12 as well, and no luck.
  12. Glad to hear it's all sorted out so far! Looking forward to getting mine fixed as well.
  13. I think it would be in their best interest to find the root cause of the issue. Whether they do this or not, remains to be seen. If it's a fairly simple or straight forward remedy, I don't see why they wouldn't issue a recall or TSB to have the issue corrected. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  14. Agreed. I'd be happy to have a software fix...If they need more time to lock down an exact hardware cause, that's okay with me......
  15. I'd get the AFE one for sure. At least it looks a little nicer than the K&N...I know looks don't mean much when it's under a closed hood, but I feel like it looks more "premium" than the K&N.....
  16. Scroll up in this thread. People have mentioned there's a fix that's supposed to be correcting the errors. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  17. I'm not looking to have fuses pulled.....So hopefully this fix they have actually works.
  18. Would be sweet if BDS would release kits for the AT4 and TB..........
  19. It's a bit expensive for plastic and a rubber hose connected to the throttle body...
  20. Hahah! I'm laughing WITH you...not AT you. [emoji23][emoji51] Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  21. I drove four hours straight with the screens cycling nonsense. It's definitely annoying as hell! Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  22. I wonder if your paperwork has any info referencing the bulletin that was sent out by GM posted earlier in this thread? Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  23. Did your dealer contact you and mention this was a fix specifically for the cold weather stuff? I think we are just trying to figure out if this was the update that people have had done, or if is THE new update just being released now with new code to fix the errors.. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  24. When was this? Mine was reprogrammed as well, but long before this announcement that they would have a fix in 7-10 days for it..... Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
  25. My dealership has been decent as far as communications go. So I'd expect a call if this is true. I'll post if I hear anything. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk
