I Hooked them up to the trailer fuse #15 in the X50a fuse box under the hood on the drivers side with an add a circuit. I am against splicing into the factory harness, so I bought an “add-a-circuit” which allows you to tap a power source in the fuse box without effecting the factory harness.
Yes that’s correct. You can position them any way you want on the grill and peal and stick them with weather proof 3m double side tape on to the grill. It looks very clean. I found them on YouTube looking for amber marker lights. They come from F150led.com, search raptor style lights. You should be able to find a 10-15% off coupon. I got mine for $87 shipped. The guy does an install video on YouTube.

17silverado2248 replied to Gorehamj's topic in The NewsroomI think GM is going to announce the 4x4 models will have true 4wd LO replaced by an “electronically simulated” 4wd LO called creep, crawl, or trail mode. This is according to an emailed survey I just took from GM. My guess is this change to the transfer case is part of weight and cost savings and also to help improve fuel economy. In some ways it makes sense, but dang it still feels like they are castrating a 4x4 truck. I’m am sure this will help put power to the ground in terms of acceleration.

17silverado2248 posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra ModsHey Guys, I am looking at doing Stock 20's w/ 275/60R20 and no level kit. It's cheaper option than aftermarket rims and level kit. I also don't really want to mess with ride quality or worry about any potential warranty related stuff where the dealer tries to blame it on a level kit. If you have the above setup, then please share pictures an/or feedback on the ride, clearance, and MPG's. The tires I am looking at are Falken Wildpeak A/T3W. I have a White 17 All star Z71 CCSB. Thank you in advance.
Wow even just the level kit really improves the look of the truck! Man, I'm pumped to get some rims, but shoot as cheap as the level is I'll probably do that and finish buying the other things I wanted to do to the truck before I buy them.
Love the truck! I have a 2017 just like it. I am wanting to do the same rim size offset and tire size. I like that your wheels are still tucked into the fender well. Your signature says you have a 1.5in body lift, was that done after these pictures? Did you have to do any trimming to clear that setup when you had just 2" RC? Any complaints with the setup and the 2" RC? Thank you,
There is a lot of factors that affect fuel economy.... wind, speed, traffic, etc. To me, the sweet spot for fuel economy with my truck is driving between 40-70mph with the max at 55mph. On my current tank, I am only getting 17.4mpg on the DIC, but I have been driving in really congested traffic, at higher speeds, and it's been super windy lately. I am filling up on 89octane shortly and will be making a 300mi 75mph+ business trip.... I will update with my results when I get back.
