    I followed the advice of cnet24 and went online to GM chat to start the discussion and file a claim. I then went to the dealership with my truck to get it diagnosed as well as tell them that I had previously asked GM for help with a claim. Side note, it was funny when I went into the dealership and told the service manager that my AC went out, he was just honest with me and told me that it was my condenser and it is a very common issue with the vehicles. Long story short the service manager was aware that I had made a claim with GM and he went ahead and spoke directly to them to resolve my issue. It ended up just being a hose issue and was fixed for $120. GM contacted me directly and were actually very helpful which lets me know they are aware that there is a major issue. One piece of advice that I think helped out my situation is that when talking to the dealership and GM I acted like I was unaware of an issue and surprised by what they found and did. But the benefit to this situation aside of the many others is that GM is willing to aid in repairs which actually will make your dealership be a little more proactive with repairs since they are not going to be stuck with a repair bill on their behalf.

    When they did the pico scope test did they only attach it to the rear seat? They did the same thing to me but if you read through the TSB it also states they need to attach it to the steering column as well. Also you don't have to go with Yukon. I just disassembles the rear assembly and filmed my axles spinning out of round and in and out. When you show the video to the service department they will fix it no questions asked. I have found that if you can give your dealership substantial evidence that its a manufactured error they will fix it because its easy for them to get their money from GM. GM from my understanding is not willing to correct any of these vibration issues and from a business point of view, I highly doubt a dealership will want to front the money to fix said issue with no reimbursement.

    The rear axle hub flanges were out of round on my truck. You will need to pull of your wheels and brake rotors, spin the driveline and film your rear axles moving out of round and side to side. I took my video to Chevrolet and showed it to them, they started to tell me what a defective vehicle it was until I told them it was one of their trucks. Then they gladly replaced the axles, bearings, etc...

    That's good news for me. I only saw the TSB for the 6.2 8 speed. Been to the shop 5 times, built a new driveshaft, replaced rear axles, 3 sets of shocks, 3 sets of wheels and tires etc. You just gave me a little hope.

    Is your truck a 5.3 6 speed or a 6.2 8 speed?

    By any chance is there a way you can post what it is they looked at and did to your truck after you get it back? I'm curious to see considering that you found a dealership who actually admits knowledge to the issues.

    Ah ok. Usually people don't spend time going into forums that were created to help people solve problems/issues peer to peer and attack them for actually having issues with their vehicles. Maybe I misunderstood what this platform is for?

    That is a valid point that I never thought to check my rear rotors for warp or uneven surfaces. I still have a grinding/rumbling coming I believe from the front end/4WD but I did get the rear axels replaced for free from Chevy after I disassembled the rear end and filmed the axle flanges rotating out of round. Also the stock driveshaft is absolute thin-wall junk that was irreparable so I had a driveline shop build me a REAL one piece aluminum shaft that is actually balanced, perfectly round and straight unlike the factory POS.

    Just an FYI. After the many attempts taking my shaker to the dealership for the vibrations and them replacing the rear axels, pico scope scans, alignments, balances, transmission flashing, replacing the driveshaft, etc..... I contacted a lemon lawyer. After going through paper work and pulling up the vehicle history report we found that the dealerships have been screwing me. Instead of acknowledging the work being done to the truck was found due to vibrations, they have just been writing it up as basic services and or maintenance. So in short, for the last 3 years of me bringing the truck in when I can due to vibrations and issues on paper it only looks like the vehicle required maintenance and recalls which in turn leaves me out of luck for the lemon law. SNEAKY SNEAKY!

    You definitely have valid points that I agree with. I still feel that the issue is under reported as well. I do know for a fact that one dealership that was doing all the initial exploratory procedures on my truck actually never reported it into the system as a vibration issue but rather just a service for tire balancing etc.... which would definitely lead it to not being reported. The second dealership that has been more than helpful let me know that for some reason they were not reporting it as a vibration issue so over a year later on paper my truck never had a problem but just rather a service record. Its just a rather frustrating situation for me and I don't know what to do at this point. I have paint on the drivers side with moisture bubbling behind it and flaking it off, the AC condenser just went out last week and the constant vibration makes it impossible to sell without spending another $2.5k to fix the poor quality parts and paint and then screwing someone else over with the vibration.

    That is a valid point but also anecdotal evidence referring to a forum where only a few amount of people would actually engage. Most people go straight to the dealership to try to figure it out or even a mechanic shop and leave it there. My personal 2015 Silverado, work truck 2015 Silverado and almost all the other superintendents in my company all have this issue, and its a constant gripe because with out schedules coffee is most definitely a necessity and in all our trucks its stained the interior of the vehicles due to the vibrations. Some people don't put a lot of miles on their vehicles to notice or could possibly just not be as anal as others but to suggest that some people got a bad deal and that's just the way it is isn't the purpose here.

    Yeah I think its just a matter of time and not necessarily mileage. It was only about 85 degrees out as well during the fall so I don't feel ambient temp has anything to do with it. My big gripe is I spent a ton of money on a truck that I wanted to keep forever and have had nothing but failures over and over again. With my job and schedule I do not have the time and or patience to constantly keep going back to the dealership to fix a vehicle that is barely two years old.
