Brand loyalty is for suckers. GM, Ford, Toyota, and RAM all build good trucks and to be honest I've had them all. I like my Chevy a lot, but also liked the 19 RAM I had before it as well.
2000 Ford Ranger
2003 Silverado Z71
2008 Sierra Denali
1997 Nissan Hardbody (work truck)
2009 Silverado 2500 Dmax
2004 Ford Focus SVT (beater)
2010 Jeep Wrangler
2011 Ram 1500
2014 Tundra
2017 Silverado Z71
2019 Ram 1500 4x4
2021 Silverado Z71
I have learned that I should just stick with the Z71s.
Just got my build sheet for the new truck and the build date is 6/9/21. No DFM, and the Autostop button is there but the truck hasn't shut off at a light yet. Now I know why. Pretty awesome to get a 2021 with no stop/start or cylinder deactivation.
Just to update, finally brought my truck in last week. They found a couple loose bolts on the steering stabilizer that I guess were that way from the factory.
They got me in and on my way in an hour and the noise hasn't returned. Steering feels better than new now.
Bumping this thread, as mine is doing this as well. A single pop/clunk every time I back out of my driveway. Sounds like drivers side front suspension area.
I'm pretty indifferent to the shifter location (last two trucks had console shifters), but wouldn't mind the push button start. The wife's Jeep has that and it's pretty nice to just jump in and go without fumbling with keys. The wide open console is great, but my wife just fills it with more crap when she rides with me.
It's been pretty bad lately for me too. But, my Chevy isn't any worse than my Tundra was, or my wife's Grand Cherokee. XM Turbo seems to be the worst, Lithium doesn't cut out nearly as much.
I let my trial expire, and I still have most of the channels. I primarily use Pandora though.
