All factory. So basically I should replace the starter. Weird it doesn't happen on normal start, just remote start.

I get a loud screeching sound right at the end of the startup cycle, specifically at the end of a remote start cycle and it only seems to be with remote start. It goes through the whole crank and engine start then right at the end it is like a 1-2 sec screeching sound. Is it the start going or some remote start mechanism? I mean when you use remote start it sounds like something else is engaging first. Thoughts? The hits keep on coming. Woohoo! Thank you.

This gomer just smacked his mirror on the garage door frame. House remodel, to much stuff in garage so tight squeeze, blah blah blah. Trying to make sure I get the right one. It's a 2015 Silverado Z71, LT2, 5.3 Gas Only, Power, Heated, without fold, without blinker and Tungsten in color. It looks to be relatively easy, just takes a little time.........based on a couple youtube clips I found. Looks like the worst parts are all the clips and just taking your time. One youtube guy didn't use any trim tools, the other did. I don't know if it matters, but I don't have any. Carparts.com has this one......linky......that is paintable. The color matching part on mine is still good, but I see they can be a hassle to take off and maybe break a clip(s). So hopefully I could just swap them out and not have to spend the money to paint. Local scrap parts place has two they both list as brown, one is definitely brown but the other looks more like the tungsten I need. They are 2x or more the cost but if that one truely is tungsten I wouldn't have to paint or try to swap color matched part. Anyone done theirs yet? I know a lot of guys seem to have swapped out for tow mirrors. Do I need trim tools? Any other suggestions on the procedure? Thoughts on the part from Carparts? Not sure where to find codes and lookup parts. To me it looks like a match that just needs painting. Sorry for the questions on this simple project. Don't do a lot on my truck, so just want to make sure. Did both door panels on my 99 so I have done a little over the years.

One of the first things I did with my truck. CovetedStyle........Other than "maybe" dropping the brightness by a super small smidge, it does nothing other than protect it.

Dang, I just broke 39,000 on my 2015! Barely had 11k when I got in Aug 2017. Heck my 99 only had like 190k when I sold it in 2017. Maybe I need to get out more!

I use this one as well. Really no good places to put a phone holder in the truck. For most driving, it is fine in this location. For long hauls, I don't like it there because I like to rest my leg against that spot. Any other place in the truck either covers up vents, buttons, dials or it sits up for the rest of the world to see!

Same thing with the Z71................I wouldn't call them ALL TERRAIN

Swapped out the rear bumper for one from a wrecked 2016, since I backed into something and put a vertical dent in it. Salvage yard guys were surprised I was replacing it. Wasn't really that bad to do. Got one license plate bulb that is being a pain now. Pull it out and it turns back on. Put it in and it goes out. Lights are from original. Gonna replace bulb tonight and see what happens.

Were these the ride height adjustable or just absorbers?

Oooo, me likey! Been trying to figure out what to do with my 2015 when it's time for new tires (only 24k on it......lol). Granted I am just looking at the Discount Tire site, but it says it won't fit. I'm assuming that it works on yours because of the leveling kit? I'd like to do something, but I don't like the flat truck look, especially after you put 5 pounds in the back and it squats.

Like this look. Sadly my 15' has 18's. Not time for tires yet, but I want to do something more than the all terrains (looks more street to me) tires they put on stock. Something more aggressive. I'm torn with any lifting and screwing up warranty stuff.

I replace mine every year before winter regardless. Michigan winters are brutal on them!

Don't have enough miles in yet, so ignore my increase comment. It does seem to be in V4 mode more easily now.......maybe a placebo effect, but it just seems more common to see it.

Sunday, wired open the Exhaust Adapter Valve...........I would say marginal sound difference to my ear. I did notice it seems to jump to V4 quicker now and my mileage has gone up slightly.........with my city/country driving. I don't think I changed my driving habits........if anything I have been getting on it more to check the sound so it should of gone down. It's rare for me to do highway driving, so I haven't tried that yet.

500' driveway here as well. My Chamberlin will open my garage door coming down the street. No big deal for me to have it on the visor. Can do it with my phone, but that's more hassle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

That's just down right sad! Not sure the build date on mine, gotta look. But I noticed a few on like weld areas of the frame, and it's a 2015.

Nothing really to hold it in place on PNK26 since their is no wire in there. I'll have to try it again someday.

Is that back seat floor mat the shorter one that is suppose to be used with the box or the longer one?
