  1. I recently removed my air inbox on my 14 Silverado to install new headlights and I found this screw plug that was sitting at the bottom of the box. I couldn't find exactly where its supposed to go other then the outline of a dirt ring that looks similar to it on bottom of holding pan for box but when I insert it there the box doesn't seat properly in pan.. Couldn't find it on any sketches or drawings of it. anyone know where it possibly goes or what/where it threads into?
  2. I don't believe a lift or leveling kit would affect any sort of warranty because usually the bumper to bumper coverage is stuff that doesn't include wear and tear, ie: brakes, shocks, squeaks, bearings, etc. I run 34's and they rub at full lock slightly with the 2.5" level but I agree that the "meatier" tire does look better on trucks then the basic driving tire.
  3. 2.5" Rough Country Level with 1" block in the rear on 285/60/20 Kanati Trail Hogs. Either going to keep stock wheels and add 2" Bora spacers or go with 3.5" lift with aftermarket wheels. Very indecisive
  4. Hate to bring up an old thread here but it was the only one I could find information on. We have a 2014 Z71 LT Silverado shop truck that has a plow mounted on it. I finally convinced my boss to raise it up a bit as I was tired of bottoming out over bumps and dips in the road since the setup dropped the whole front end an inch or more even with the plow off. I see that some people are running 2-2.5" leveling kits on it, but is any one running the Bilstein b8 5100's instead of the level? I suggested leveling it to my boss but then thought that the Bilstein's would probably be a smoother ride instead but curious if they will give it enough lift on the front end with all the weight of the plow.
  5. 2014 driver seat rear panel

I didn't even try to remove it myself, it removed its's self somehow lol. ive never sat in my backseat but I noticed it about a week after I took my buddies golfing in my truck so I wonder if one of those dingbats accidently did it but other than that im at a loss.
  6. 2014 driver seat rear panel

I haven't checked any scrap yards yet. plus the ones around me aren't grab your own, they wont let you go look around and pull your own stuff which sucks. unfortunately I cant find the piece that's broken off anywhere so I cant even try n fix it myself. I could try n back yard rig something to the broken clip but would rather just replace the whole thing.
  7. 2014 1500 Z71 - the other day I noticed the panel on the rear of the driver seat was hanging off, turns out the clip that snaps it into place broke off. not sure how it happened because I never put anything in my back seat except for groceries. I was trying to find a replacement panel on line but was having trouble pinpointing the exact one. its black plastic with black leather pouch but can only find the cloth version replacements and cant find part number anywhere on the panel. anyone have some info of part # or a website I can look into? would hate to have to go to dealership and pay twice as much.

  9. 2014+ Leveling Kits

285/60/20 I like a wider tire rather than taller. I know some people on here run a 275/65/20 which is the stock width and just beefier. im not a fan of chevy's big wheel wells, cant fit a big tire in there to close the gap with out doing some mods.
  10. 2014+ Leveling Kits

the actual specs say 33.8" so were rounding up here. it rubs at full lock both forward and reverse so im looking into 2" spacers until I can find a set of wheels I like

2.5 RC Level on 34's (she needs a bath)

this thread is great for the practical people asking questions and getting personal opinions and knowledge but I also use customwheeloffset.com as reference to different tire/wheel setups and visuals too. For example here's a 14' 1500 on 33x12.5's with a +1 offset on a 2" RC level and in the details he claims there is no rubbing and had to do no trimming. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/truck-show/wheel-offset-gallery/9019/wheel-offset-2014-chevrolet-silverado-1500-aggressive-1-outside-fender-leveling-kit-custom-rims
