  1. Best of luck. I got too aggravated with it and went back to stock switch.
  2. I've decided I'm going to use one of the Homelink buttons with a wireless receiver. Still will look factory same as this headlight switch.
  3. It did not fix my issue with the driver's door lock. Merely coincidence. Turns out it is a bad door lock actuator. I'm getting it replaced under warranty tonight. I'm selling the two switches I gathered and tried through this process for anyone interested: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/215518-orl-capable-oem-headlight-switches-for-sale/
  4. It's a premium 3M outdoor gloss black vinyl.
  5. Yes, both bought new OEM. Blue backlighting. Shoot me a PM if interested.
  6. Well, today my driver's power door lock quit working via the fob and the door switch. Sooooo, this sucker is going back to stock until more troubleshooting can be done. I think my BCM is just not programmed for it. Anyone want to buy a ORL-capable headlight switch? LOL I have two of them.
  7. Yes I have. It does seem to function more reliably while driving down the road than it does parked (with or without engine running), although still not 100% of the time. There's no rhyme or reason to it at all.
  8. Looked good......why didn't you like it? I did mine about a month ago.
  9. I know. It is still sporadic.
  10. I got my switch and harness installed today. Something weird is going on and the ORLs come on (or off) only sporadically with the switch - not every press of the button results in turning the ORLs on or off. Sometimes I have to repeatedly press the switch and sometimes I have to rotate the switch to a different position to get the button to respond. I suspect BCM programming issue but I feel like if that was the case, the button wouldn't function at all? My only other thought is a defective switch? Thoughts?
  11. Had all four wheels replaced under warranty because the clearcoat was chipping.
  12. Correct. Long press the auxiliary light button and the connected light(s) will come on and stay on, regardless of headlight setting. Think of it as a standalone switch.
  13. Yep. And when I got the coilovers on and got the truck aligned, no more contact. ?
  14. I run 12.5" wides on stock wheels with stamped UCAs. No issues.
  15. Did you think I made it up? ?
  16. Guy's name was Kirk. He straight-up said they were developing a kit for our trucks but it wasn't quite ready for release yet. Probably full of &#$*. Soooooo, sounds like I'm going to have to break out the trusty Dremel and do work!
  17. The press-and-hold functionality of the switch is dumb to me. Hope you don't want to turn the light on or off quickly! I know GM did it so folks won't inadvertantly turn on offroad lights but I still don't like it.
  18. Will these plug into the OEM harness and function properly until *someone* makes the custom harness?
  19. So the dozens of people behind you on your way to work tomorrow won't see it?
  20. Finally installed coilovers. Alignment tomorrow.
  21. It won't last long if you actually use the tailgate.
  22. Not sure what you mean by this, but I consider it a move in the right direction. The last time I inquired several months ago, they said there were no plans. Today, he said they are working on a kit specifically for active shutter vehicles but it is not available for purchase yet. So, I'll take it!
