  1. Did you see the flex in those when he stepped on it? Wow! And they claim 650lb capacity?!
  2. And how is this different from any random person in the world just walking up in a parking lot and getting it? This rates up there with folks blacking out their license plates in photos!
  3. Agreed. The people at your dealership are idiots.
  4. Thank you 2Speed! I have a key fob on order and wanted to see how you did it.
  5. Just for reference....recalls are reserved for issues that are deemed to potentially compromise safety. Wireless charging hardly qualifies. You can probably bark up the right tree long enough and loud enough to get GM to give you a module as a goodwill gesture. I tried for a while and got tired of having to re-explain the issue to every single person I spoke to and they just kept referring to the "approved devices" list anyway. I just spent the 100 bucks and bought my own module. Been happily charging ever since!
  6. Because they are misinformed. I have a 6.5" Zone and I am running stock 20" wheels just fine with no spacers required. Tell them to install the lift and put your wheels on. Then look at them and say, "You're welcome."
  7. Ah, the joys of being on the inside!
  8. Nice! I want to do the Denali cluster myself, but I'm holding out for the blue-lighted one. Problem is, I'm having zero luck finding one for a 2017. Does the red color not matching bother you? I'm too OCD to have stuff not match!
  9. 2016s play video from USB just fine. If you want video-in-motion however, you'll need help from MVI (www.gm-navigation.com).
  10. Tires are too narrow. Just curious, but if you purchased new wheels and tires together, why did you intentionally buy tires that are too narrow for the wheels?
  11. 2017s won't play video from flash drives without add-on module and programming from MVI. I opted for the Blu-ray option because I did not want to have to install an aftermarket USB port. I wanted to keep the truck stock-looking.
  12. It will play in any gearshift position. Nothing that cheap anymore for video with the new generation trucks - at least on the 2017s. Have to get programmed HMI, new programmed screen assembly, and DVD player. Plus all the harnesses. Read up on his site. If you have a pre-2017, you have cheaper options for video.
  13. Not unless you have rear seat entertainment package. I can now play DVDs and Blu-Rays on the dash screen while truck is in motion. Wife and kid are set now on road trips.

  15. Just installed kit from MVI so I can play Blu-rays and DVDs on the 8" in-dash screen in my 2017. Works great! Kiddo will be happy now!
  16. He listed all the known part numbers that will work with each year/configuration. Nothing magical here....just find one of the part numbers listed for your specific truck and rock on.
  17. Most folks are getting them on eBay. Problem for me is I have a 2017 and no one is selling them right now. I've called several online parts houses and they all have told me they do not sell clusters due to the "logistics and complications involved". WTF? I realize they can't program them, but I don't expect them to....I just want to buy a dang cluster for Chris to program!
  18. The grill is no problem - it goes IN FRONT OF the grill shutters. I'm trying to install a lightbar BEHIND the grill - that's where the shutters become a problem.
  19. Decreased MPG, longer engine warm-up time in cold weather, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, "Check Engine" light is illuminated and codes are triggered.
  20. Can I just remove all the shutters from the assembly and cut on the two yellow lines to free up the portion with the motor and stops? Wouldn't this keep it all intact so I can just stow it away somewhere out of the way? What is there to glue to the motor if I do it this way?
  21. I am on a mission to figure out how to remove the active grill shutter system from my truck without having to live with a CEL so I can install the RC 30" light bar behind the grill. I have a Diablo i3 and can easily clear the code and reset the light, but it will just keep coming back. I've read posts of folks hacking up the assembly and stowing away the motor with the stops glued to it? This sounds too backwoods and unreliable for me. There has to be another way. Is this system controlled via the BCM? If so, perhaps Chris White can hack the BCM to forget it had the shutters? The light bar sits at the very bottom of the shutter assembly. I know the bottom two shutters can be removed easily, but guys are saying the bar still won't fit. I assume it is the "center spine" hump running vertically in the middle of the assembly where the motor is located that is interfering with the bar? Can just the lowermost portion of this hump be cut out to make room for the bar? Let's brainstorm together and make this happen!
  22. Looks nice! Y'all sprayed the rocker panels on my silver Nissan Frontier a few months ago. Sold it a week later to a fella who had to have it (and money talks!) and bought a Silverado!
  23. GM Parts Direct canceled my order also. Called Tasca too and he said "not available". I gave up on that route and had my dealer print out the list of dealers who showed inventory in stock and went to work calling. There are 26 of them nationwide and I called most of them before I was successful. Most of them told me they ordered theirs in for a customer and could not sell it to me. I found a dealer in FL who had two and he said they were both for sale. So, I'll have one in my hands Friday.
