Did you take the 18 charger out and replace it with the original in case you need it later?

I dropped the hundred. Install was 20 minutes. I have tried all three cases I have for the X and each one worked well.

Class action. Really? Come on man. Spend the hundred and save yourself the frustration and aggravation. No attorney is going to touch something with no possibility of a monster payout. To each his/her own though. Sue on my GM brother.

BlkSS - based on my experience and the fact that the vehicle still has a warranty, waiting for the proper pigtail makes switching back easy if needed. Not to mention the ease of the switch over. Was worth the wait for me. YMMV.

Yep. GM will not be addressing this issue. Not worth the time or frustration. Just drop the $100 and move on. Glad I did.

Got mine installed today. Was waiting for a warmish day. Worried about all the plastic being brittle and what not. First thanks to Phil for making the adapters. Made the process simple as heck. Also thanks to him for the reco on the pry tools to use. Second, it was an easy operation. Took 20 minutes and I was methodical about "prying" open the console. Everything fit back together like a glove. I have a Pelican Shield case. Thick and durable. Even worked with that and it sits at an angle because it's so big. It would flash on and off so I bought a smaller case so it would fit into the space provided. Very pleased with the new set up. My two cents.

Doubt that will happen. They aren't going to deal with the connector difference.
