  1. Can you please share details of what you did here? I'm interested in upgrading the dash speakers but unsure what will fit or options we have. The only direct swaps I can find are the 2.75" by a brand called Memphis. I think these speakers look just like the stock ones., paper cone and all.
  2. I've heard that the stock Bose systems aren't that great and not worth the money. I just upgraded my door speakers to some Rockford Fosgate Power Series (6x9 in the front and 6.5 in the back). I spent a couple hundred dollars from crutchfield. They also offer products for scratch/dent as well as open box. My open box items were in 100% perfect condition and I saved a pretty penny! If you order from them, they will supply instructions, wires, and mounting brackets for free. The hardest part of the instillation is removing the door panel. Simple YouTube video will help you with this. The rest is just screws.
  3. By the way... Part number is 11561878. It was $4 at the dealer
  4. Does anyone know that the original part number is or have a suggestion for replacement? I think it might have been a plastic fastener but I'm not sure. Mine fell off..
  5. Is this a brand, or do you mean a window from a Nissan Titan?
  6. One of the members here, PGamboa, posted a youtube video about swapping out the center console. In the video, he shows and explains in pretty good detail the wiring configuration of the outlets... Maybe this would help you poke around the wires and figure something out. Good luck!
  7. That makes sense. I didn't mean the comment to be negative in any way, just an honest question. That totally makes sense with that justification. I still think 200 bucks for that one function is crazy expensive.
  8. I understand that it's a little cheaper, but why not just spend a little more money (<$100 more) and get a full on programmer that includes cylinder deactivation?? For instance, you can get a hypertech for ~$300. You will get this function without the need to keep something plugged in, plus you get to program everything else... I'm just curious what the decision point was for purchasing these..
  9. He would've purchased it like that. The APEX is a build from SCA performace. They are a third party company that has a deal/partnership with local dealers where they will modify and warranty their work. (I think it's similar to Roush/Ford, Shelby/Ford but on a smaller scale) http://www.scaperformance.com/chevy-apex/
  10. ^^ I wish I had this video before I did my install. It would've saved me some issues with removing and running the cables as well as removing the lower panel. I had no idea the tilt lever pulled off like that.
  11. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I took it to a dealership and they fixed it in about 10min to remove the debris. The technician said that it's a good idea to put some paper underneath the filter as you remove the dirty one because some debris may fall down as you pull it out and it gets pushed in as you put the new one in.
  12. I'd have to say, this is a bit of a strange thread. I can't think of a reason why replacing a bulb would mess with a curcuit that's connected to the rear camera... hmm. I hope it was an easy fix
  13. Same here... I would be very interested in seeing pictures of a custom job. Subbed.
  14. Thank you to everyone who have contributed in this thread! All of the info really helped with the project. I'd like to mention my successful install. 2015 Silverado Z71 LT. I have power foot pedals. I was lucky and had the female connector port already under the console and it was hot. Everything was plug and play for me. Heated steering wheel, lights and all functions work! Part numbers: clock spring: 23381964 steering wheel: 84222909 I had some trouble fishing the clock spring wires out, so please be patient. It also made it easier that I have snap ring pliers as well. Since your battery is disconnected, please note that you will need to put some muscle in when cranking the steering wheel to each side. I just took my e-brake off and allowed the truck to roll a little (I was parked on a slope) when turning the wheels. Overall, the job was a lot harder than I anticipated but still only look about 1.5 hours.
