Did they have to do fuel upgrades for the 4'' pulley? I got a 17 6.2 with the whipple but it came with a 4.125'' pulley and want to go slightly smaller. Thanks

Yeah you have a good point there as well. Definitely not designed for the boost to begin with.

Yeah I would Definitely have to do Fuel upgrades for E85. I'm curious because some whipple kits I've seen on this forum have a 4'' pulley with their 6.2 and they say it came with the kit. So i wonder why mine has come with a 4.125? Could it be since its a CA Truck? Maybe the fueling is different or something?

I got a 2017 GMC Sierra 6.2 with a whipple 2.9L. I want to do E85. I installed the sensor in the fuel line. Do I need to do any other fuel upgrades or does it only need the sensor? I know on the 5.3 it requires upgrades, Im not sure if the 6.2 has a better fuel system than 5.3 or is the same.

yeah you make a good point. I have a dyno tune this saturday. Maybe I could slap it on there and see what the afr shows with the smaller pulley. I don't want to have to do fuel changes as of right now. Maybe down the road if i get bored. Ill ask whipple if i can run a 4'' without fuel upgrades.

This is a daily driven truck and sometimes I tow with it. Would it be worth it to put a smaller pulley or would it be risky for reliability?

Thanks for all the info. I think in going to hold off on the meth and just run e85 with my charger and that will be good for now!

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 6.2 with a whipple supercharger. I am looking at the Snow Performance Water Meth kits. This is my daily truck, is it worth putting on there? My only concern is if it fails at some point and may hurt my engine because of the tune being made for water meth. My tuner said that he doesn’t think i need water/Meth for my appilication. I was looking at getting it for more hp gains, the price ($400) and because it cleans the valves. Has anyone with a supercharged 6.2 have water meth installed?

well the problem is that the stock map has a different pig tail than the LT4 so I can't plug it in. My tuner should be able to tune for the different map sensor.

yeah i emailed my tuner black bear performance to update tune for the LT4 map sensor.

okay that what i was thinking if it was tuned for the 1 bar, it wont run correct if it has the LT4 map in it. Thanks

Also truck threw a ECM P0106 code which relates to map sensor issue.

I have a 2017 GMC sierra with 6.2L and I just installed a whipple kit on it. Everything went great, no coolant leaks, its tuned by black bear performance. On whipple's instructions it says to use factory map sensor, well with my kit it came with a new LT4 map sensor in the manifold already. My truck is having a rough idle, erratic acceleration, and sometimes it doesn't want to start, until after I crank it a few times. I believe the stock map sensor is 1 bar? and the LT4 map sensor is 4 bar if I'm correct. Part Number for new map sensor that is in the truck is (12644807) if anyone could tell me more info on that map sensor. My tuner made the tune for the stock map sensor, could that be why the truck is running poorly? The map sensor not tuned correctly so its telling the ECM false readings? Thanks

hey guys I'm looking into getting some Long Tubes and a Y pipe for my 2017 GMC Sierra 6.2L. I was looking at speed engineering, they seem to be very cheap, and I'm unsure of that. But if anyone has good reviews on them or any other brand, that would be great.

Had the dealer check it out. It is the radiator. The guy at the dealer says the power train warranty doesn't cover it, so that means i will do it myself so I don't need to get a loan out to pay the dealer haha. He says the radiators are on back order. Has anyone heard about a recall on the radiators at all? kind of wierd how a 2017 radiator is on backorder.

Turns out that my radiator is leaking. I looked into it more and looks like the radiator is starting to leak on the plastic crimps, which is where I have seen these radiators fail before. It is a very very small leak and I think by the time it ran down all of the frame and other parts of the truck it was just a clear type of liquid on the ground. I can see the red color now under the radiator, and it as well tastes like coolant. Time to get the dealer to warranty and install a new one!

yeah the whipple kit should come with spark plugs. I should be seeing my whipple kit in a week or so for my 2017 Sierra 6.2. I cant wait. Are those 17s or 18 inch wheels?

It smells like some kind of oil. Leaking down on part of the frame behind the fog light below the condenser/radiator.

Yeah completely clear. And could be brake fluid, ill have to check on that

Yeah my AC still works fine. I am not sure what else it would be since its a clear like oil, kind of like a hydraulic oil but its pretty much clear.

ahh good thinkin, I wonder if its the lines that are cracked and leaking or the condenser itself?
