  1. Yes, would love to see finished product.
  2. I've literally owned this brand new 2021 RST 1500 for 3 weeks. A few days after I purchased it, and odd thing happened. When I turned the truck on, the windshield wipers came on, went through about 3 cycles, and turned off, but not in the park position. I was able to bump them with the switch to get them to go back down, but thought it odd. Happened again a few days later. I've now owned the truck for 3 weeks, and it went from every few starts to every start. I've got an appointment to drop it off with the dealer on Monday, but wanted to know if anyone else has any similar issues. The wipers come on every time I hit the start button. If I remote start it, they don't come on until I'm in the truck and hit the actual button inside the truck, but it happens every time now. Frustrating, as I have to immediately hit the wash button to keep the windshield from scratching due to the wipers rubbing the dry windshield.
  3. Any updates on what they decided?
  4. I'll add to this. Had the dreaded condenser leak on the 2018 Sierra Z71 @59,233 miles as I got to the dealership 2 days ago. After a quote for $1700 to replace (GM Book states they have to remove bumper, etc.. Stupid, but that's a different story), I told them no. Salesman told me he'd get me what I paid for it towards a new truck. Ok..... Sure thing fella. I've got time. I bought the 2018 2 years ago with 7,200 miles on it for 44,500. The 2021 White RST/Z71 had a 56K sticker on it. They dropped the price 2, gave me 44K for my trade. It had 59K miles on it, broken A/C condenser (they'll fix it cheaper) and small dent where the tire dealership backed it into a bollard (still have the brand new OEM bumper in the box in the garage that they bought me - Chevy didn't want it). Dealership dropped 2K off MSRP, and then gave me all 3500 in rebates. I feel like I robbed them. I'm extremely happy with my new truck.
  5. As Phil already stated, the dealer is wrong. I have a DL3 Truck that I upgraded to factory tow mirrors (power fold, etc), and the dealer told me the same thing. Luckily, they agreed to cover the programming when I bought the truck, and when they tried, they never could figure out why only some of the features worked. The power folding, memory, movement, etc... worked before any programming. However, even after programming, the amber LED's on the front only came on when locking with the remote (maybe it was unlocking), and the rear cargo lights never came on (when in reverse or when the cargo switch on the dash was pressed). Phil's harness fixed all of that, and no further programming is needed.
  6. Just got done installing my custom harnesses from Phil. High quality!! I have the tow mirrors and needed the rear lights to work, so I didn't do an upgrade to DL3, but upgraded from DL3 to Tow Mirrors (power fold). Phil was quick to respond to my order request, got the harnesses shipped out quickly, and sent tracking information to me as soon as they shipped. I followed his video for installing, and everything went off without a hitch. Took me about an hour to do both sides. Since I've had the door panels off a couple of times on this one and my previous (2016 2500HD), I probably saved 15 minutes or so due to the experience, but even if you've never taken your door panel off, just follow his video and it's quite easy. Thanks again Phil for everything!
  7. So, after a bit of driving, and MUCH more reading through this topic, I realized that I don't have the correct harnesses for making all the features work. As I went from the DL3 to the DQS, and didn't change out any harnesses, I realized that I too fall victim to the following: I haven't confirmed, but it appears that the auto-dimming feature isn't working. Front LED's come on with parking lights, and when unlocking, but don't come on with signals. Rear facing LED's don't come on when backing or with cargo lights. Not sure when they're supposed to come on. Everything else (power fold, heat, memory, etc.. ) works fine. I have a friend that ordered a set of mirrors and the following harnesses, and was able to return the mirrors as he sold the truck shortly after getting them, and never installed them, but forgot to return the harnesses. He told me he would give them to me: 23342727 & 23342716 From what I've read, I believe those would solve my issues, correct? If not, whatever I need from you will be on my order list. Thanks again! Brian
  8. Thanks! I just got it. Saved a bundle as it was gently used (2017 w/5K miles). I had never heard of them before, but it's an SCA Performance Black Widow Edition Silverado. I was hooked as soon as I saw it.
  9. I can't thank PGAMBOA enough for the detail he's show in these threads. I had a 2016 2500 (Diesel) LTZ that I spent a bit of money upgrading to OEM towing mirrors, and recently traded it in. I did remove the tow mirrors prior to selling it, and re-installed the original ones. I was doubting they would work on my 2017 LTZ (gas) 1500 and figured I'd sell them at a loss to get another set for the newer truck. Thank goodness I read all through his initial post, and realized they'd work. An hour later, and I'm back in business! Now, if I had only remembered to re-connect the inside door handle on the passenger's side, my wife wouldn't be quite as annoyed... Considering leaving it like that, lol.
