Just the rear area, I took off plastic rear panels (that house seat belt), hanger hooks above rear windows and side panels that house front belts. You can then gentle and carefully pull far rear End of headliner away from rear window trim. oh and also pull rear overhead light, pulls straight down with 2 clips.

Yes it’s a sealed LED housing just like your current lamp.

Yes with lamp and this harness you will not need spoiler. If you order only lamp from GM you would not get This wiring harness. I just listed it on for sale thread.

If anyone is interested. I have an extra setup, I ordered lamp from two different places, got second lamp in today, lamp with camera and used wiring harness, I got harness from a wrecked 19 with under 100 miles. I watched guy pull harness from truck, he didn’t damage it.

Man you aren’t kidding, 8 nuts and 4 bolts! Finished it up today, I was able to remove two rear and side plastics and 2 hooks above rear doors, then carefully pulled down headliner to free it from rear window trim. After that things went pretty smooth. I ended up finding a great deal on a rear view mirror out of a 2019 Cadillac XT4, works great!

I removed to two rear plastic panels that are at the upper rear corners of back seat. (Rear seat belt slide through them) I can see the two bolts on each corner. Are these the only bolts that hold spoiler to truck? Are the middle ones “panels pops”? Just want to make sure only those 4 bolts to remove before I start prying this off tomorrow. Thanks again for all the help!

HUD was delivered a couple weeks ago and I just got around to opening box, didn’t realize how big this thing is, it’s going to need some room, man I hope it will fit!

Yeah I was surprised for sure, I googled part number and amazon was first hit, said one left so I took a shot. I received cable yesterday with 2 day shipping. Just checked amazon it now states will ship in 6-10 days

Just start calling dealers, I keep calling until I found a dealer that had parts in stock. The cable is actually on amazon right now! Just search part number.

Yeah hopefully it doesn’t, i was going to wait to Order parts but got a good deal on a used HUD so I ordered it. I’ll wait on ordering rest of parts until you are able to investigate. I know when I replaced my cluster there appeared to be lots of room but I really didn’t know what I was looking for without hud or hud bracket on hand. thank you again

Did you see there were 2 part numbers for Reinforced beam behind dash. Part numbers 23387334 w/heads up display and 23387333 /without heads up display. Surely you wouldn't have to replace that support beam? Got me worried.

That’s a good idea! I tinted my car 70% and You really can’t tell it’s tinted but it definitely helps with Heat and cooking the dash during the summer.

I read that trucks with safety package but not HUD have HUD stamped windshield. Do you have HUD windshield?, I'm hoping you don't So you can report back how it looks.

Thank you FiatDale for making this happen! I for one greatly appreciate your time and money spent to figure this out. I’m also following your thread in the HUD display, I may have to choose only one to do for now though do to the cost of each. Tough choice! thank ya!!!!

Man, that dash pad will probably be a pain to remove. But I still want to do this ?
