    Yea that’s why I purchased a 2500 gas. Need the payload and I don’t haul over 10k. Like the idea of having the weight, brakes, suspension ect. The more i cruise through the diesel forums the happier I am about the choice to stick with gas. I mean the new 6.6 is rated for what...like 16k lbs? Surprised that so many get still get sucked into the diesel game....but I guess if ur not gonna keep it past the warranty like most, it doesn’t matter.lol.

    Not sure how it is everywhere else but a 3/4 ton is much cheaper to register in California than a 1 ton.

    In 2017 I picked up my HD 6.0 for the same price as a 1/2 ton. I feel you get a lot for the money bumping up to the 3/4 ton.

    The difference is in the handling. I went from a 5.3 6 speed to a 2500hd 6.0 and it was night and day. I think it’s like shotgun said, you hear the engine working but it doesn’t translate that through the rest of the truck. Not sure if that makes sense.

    Yea it’s crazy out here in California. You are lucky to get a 2015 for $45k with over 100k miles....f that.lol Edit....also 15k pounds is a lot to ask out of a small block but it just goes to show how much abuse they can take.

    We’re looking at purchasing a new FW maybe towards the end of summer...right at 30ft overall and about 6800 dry, I was hesitant with our 6.0, but seeing what you haul and what you’ve done to your truck, seems like the trailer we want will be a breeze for our truck.

    Thing should run pretty good with a cam and long tubes. I’d imagine even with a good tune they should run awesome. Would be nice to make some reliable power in the range of the new 6.6 and 7.3 engines.
