  1. I thought I hit something driving today and decided to check underneath (for the first time.. I know..). Two things got me concerned: 1. There’s seems to be some “bubbling” on the part of the frame(?) could it be they screwed up and painted/coated while moist? Or is this normal? 2. I noted a very distinct checker pattern of rust on 4 corners of the frame (Showing pic of 1 but they’re on all 4 sides in the same location). Looks like something scratched/imprinted from a lift(?) Should I be worried? Needless to say all I’ve done is take it to the dealer for the numerous issues I’ve been having so if anyone is at fault it would be them (or the factory). 19 LT TB, 13k miles, only had the truck for 10 months (custom ordered and delivered in July 2019)...
  2. Thomcat, I think in your last pic you can tell its a different DRL (LED strip is much narrower than the HC/mignight headlights).
  3. I have a non-midnight black LT TB and these headlights look notably different. The headlights in the pic look like the headlights of HC trim (thicker DRL and LED turn signal).
  4. Yes! I’ve had the same issue on my 2019 that started last summer when I first got the truck. The dealer said it was normal and he had it in every car he owned. Well, I never had it in any car I’ve owned, not even a 15yr old junker so he must be from another planet. I didn’t have time to deal with it and once the hot weather went away, so did the smell. I do plan to take it in again this summer if it comes back. I’ve only had it smell on 90+ degree days. Does yours smell all the time?
  5. Thanks for the tip to let them know right away. I actually took it back just now so that service advisor could see it for himself and make a note for next time. He had the tech look at it and apparently the headliner fix is a bit more involved where they have to take the pillar covers back off and glue back to the roof *sigh*. Nothing surprises me anymore..
  6. Here you go. Not very visible but when (lightly) pressed with a finger it goes all the way in.
  7. Mine was “caulked” and got the truck back today after a week a the dealership. First thing I did is put the hose on it and it seems to be dry. My leak was very small compared to some, but was able to reproduce it every time I put a hose on the roof. Seemed like it was leaking through the third brake light area on the driver side only. I really hope it holds up but reading here doesn’t give me much hope. One thing I noticed is I don’t think they put the headliner back correctly, is it supposed to sag in the middle? Looks like they forgot a clip... not a huge deal and will probably deal with it when going back for my next oil change.
  8. Thanks yes I found those as well, but couldn’t find any blacked out Z71 badges for our trucks. Sorry, I think you read my previous post differently than what I was trying to say lol. Even Chevy accessory store has the LT and Silverado blacked out badges. As far as Z71 badges, I was only able to find them for older style trucks/Suburban’s on Amazon/eBay. Looks like only option is to look into plasti dipping, at least for now...
  9. Never plasti dipped anything lol but sounds like I should look into it. So there’s no replacement parts like for the tailgate LT and Silverado letters?
  10. I’d like to replace the chrome/red Z71 side emblems with blacked out ones on my LT TB. Does anyone know of a good replacement part? originally I was going to remove them entirely but my clear bra is cut around them so I’ll need to put something there that’s the same size as the OEMs....
  11. After following the posts here I decided to put a hose on the rear/spoiler area and yep, water is leaking through - only on the driver side but the area behind the rear seat back is wet, wonder how long it’s been going on without me noticing. Seems not as bad as some of the pics posted here with entire back seats covered in water. LT TB Mexican made, May 2019 build.
  12. So today I start the truck, put it in drive and guess what... the “service 4wd” message goes away. Drove it 200 miles back home and message didn’t come back. Go figure.. fingers crossed it was just a one time glitch.
  13. Today I was backing up a slippery/steep driveway - tried to put in 4lo and service 4wd light came on, 5500 miles.
  14. Ahh yeah I haven’t thought of that. There are podcasts on Spotify, and there’s free apps for that too but probably not that one. There are certainly some exclusives on Sirius you won’t get anywhere else. My twin daughters love Dolly Parton and some kid songs so that’s their playlist
  15. I have Serius on my LT TB and I would never pay for it, the sound quality sucks!! You’re much better off with Pandora or Spotify. I use Spotify and with offline mode I have all the music I need wherever I go, reception or not.
  16. Get ceramic coating, it’s pricey (~$800) but will make your truck look like new for 2-3 years. When washing, use the two bucket method (google it) - about twice a month. Then repeat the ceramic coating every 2-3 years and your truck will look like new for a very, very long time.
  17. I think you're right. I have the sunroof and only had one 'unused' wiring harness - rest was all plugged into the console. Could also be for the power rear window (which I have also).
  18. Btw - easy test to see if it works (before putting everything back) is by covering the sensor in the back of the mirror with your finger, you'll see it slowly dim, put truck in reverse and see it light up again, then back to Park to see it dim. Mission accomplished!!
  19. Can confirm, this simple method works. Taking off the console sounds more scary than it is, it goes back together very easily. Even the two front screws some had trouble with went right back in on the first try (maybe I was just lucky lol). Altogether in total it took less than 30 mins, what took the most time is prying all the glue off the wiring harness, mine was covered in it (see pic)!! Thanks @Semedar for the pics - made it a lot easier to do it!!
  20. Without knowing the residual and MF (money factor) you really can’t say anything about lease. Go on Leasehackr or Edmunds forums to figure out what the residual and MF are this month for your ZIP and you’ll know if you’re getting a good deal. That number doesn’t seem bad on the surface but again, without knowing those 2 things you really can’t tell. In addition you can ask your dealer to provide it but make sure you still ask inn Edmunds so you know they’re not marking it up.
  21. Don’t forget it’s the internet and without knowing all the information like is it purchase or lease, did they have a trade, what type of financing I would not put too much value on these “I paid xx” posts. 20k off sounds good until you realize someone got 5k less for their trade, they financed at 10% APR due to bad credit or are not including the 10k in “dealer installed accessories”. At the end of the day, too many variables go into a car purchase and it’s impossible to paint a complete picture in a single post. Not saying some of these deals aren’t possible, there’s crazy circumstances like you came 30 min before closing on quarter end and the dealer was 1 sale away from hitting their quarterly bonus and giving an extra 5k off your truck would earn them 50k in bonuses or you are buddies with the son of the dealership, member of military and GM employee who happens to qualify for 9/10 rebates to get to 20k off. Without getting that complete information these posts should really be taken with an enormous grain of salt.
  22. These light interiors are pretty rare on dealer lots. One reason I had to custom order mine!
  23. I actually like how it looks with this color - very nice looking truck ? is it shadow gray? Also love those smoked out tail lights - how did you get them to look like that?
  24. Yep, even after email negotiation they tried to pull a fast one on me when I came to pick up the truck. My sales person wasn’t there so her manager was doing the paperwork and the price he showed was about 1,000 more than agreed. Had to pull up the original email from 2 months ago and show it to him. Should’ve seen the look on his face, even said something that he’s losing money on the deal (yeah, right!). Reminded me why you should always have it in writing!
