  1. Wow, you are absolutely unbelievable. I can't tell if you're a GM employee or just a fanboy. You repeatedly downplayed many posters comments about a potentially lethal issue with these trucks. For the average consumer in a high traffic situation it isn't going to make a difference if the brakes have failed at the 100% point or the 10% point. The only thing you are accomplishing is alienating good folks who have experienced a BRAKE FAILURE. My wife almost crashed into an intersection last week full of 60 mph traffic. If several of the vehicles hadn't swerved when the truck entered the intersection she may not have survived it. Would your answer be, but you still had 10% left?
  2. I'm currently deployed overseas but my wife just got our 2019 RST back from the dealership after a week. She was driving and went to apply the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. She said there was almost no braking at all. The dealership replaced the left front brake wear sensor as you can see in the attachment. They also told my wife did a software update. Needless to say, how can anyone feel safe in one of these trucks. A software glitch causing loss of brakes is insane!
  3. Is that a magnetic gun mount?
  4. It looks good, your efforts paid off!
  5. Has anybody in this forum installed one of these? Just curious what all the people here with bigger tires have done. Is everyone just living with the speedo being off by 5 mph?
  6. Lol.......no. She usually only drives it when I'm out on a ship for four months at a time. When I'm home I pretty much do all the driving.
  7. So what I did with my T1 today, so far, was to hand the wife the keys. Either she'll love it or hate it.....we'll see.
  8. Yeah that's a damn good price. I was going to do my own too but I'd rather have someone else compress the strut springs.
  9. I'm curious on the rate because the kit calls for 4.5 hours to install and my shop did it in 5 @ $75 hr.
  10. It still has the factory ride. It's only very slightly firmer but that's because of the much heavier load rated E tires. The only real hit is my hwy mileage at 82 mph went from about 17 mpg to 13.5 mpg. On 55 mph roads where I do 62 mph I'm still getting 18 mpg.
  11. Thanks! It's the ReadyLIFT 4" SST lift with 35.12 x 11.77 Grapplers (295/65R20. It's the RST model. I didn't want the Trail Boss because I knew I'd be doing this. I actually started a thread since I haven't seen much on the ReadyLIFT SST lifts.
  12. Wow, that's an amazing price. Did that include the alignment? What is their hourly rate for labor?
  13. I'll take a look and get pics tomorrow. All I know right now is the CV angles with this type of 4" lift are less than on the 2018 and earlier models. The axles are longer and the differential is narrower than earlier Silverado's/Sierras.
  14. I got it done in Gaylord Mi. at Independence Tire and auto repair. They are an authorized dealer for BDS, Zone and could be for others. I have to go back tomorrow to have them sync the TPMS. It stayed with the OEM sensors in the OEM wheels because they were in the back of the truck. We'll see what happens tomorrow. If they have any issues I'll have the dealer do it. I've heard if they are problematic, the dealer can plug in a chevy Traverse to get them to work. I'll let you know.
  15. This is what I did with my T1 today. :)
  16. You really should shop around, that is too much. I got the wheels and tires mounted, balanced and new TPMS sensors installed from Custom Offsets. I'm pleased with them but I'm glad I had the shop double check the balancing. The first wheel/tire was 5 Gr off and the others 2-3 Gr off. So I got them balanced, lift installed and the front end alignment for $540. Rides perfectly too.
  17. I paid about $800 for the kit (military discount) and had it installed today for $540. It rides like stock accept but just a bit firmer due to the load rating on the tires. I am very pleased with the outcome.
  18. I have seen a lot of level kits and 6" lifts in the forum but haven't seen any T1's with the ReadyLIFT 4" SST yet so here's my RST. I wanted to fit 35" on my T1 but didn't want as much empty space above the tires that a 6" lift has. I read good things about the SST kit in terms of quality which is there, and being a much simpler install that can be reverted back to stock is a plus too. Given that the front diff is narrower and the front axles are much longer than on 18 and below models, this 4" kit should do the trick with It's upper control arms to correct the geometry. Although there wasn't supposed to be any rubbing it was slight but it was there in the front. In the back of the wheel well, I just removed the bracket behind the mud flap and I've got about an inch of clearance now. On the front of the front wheel well it very slightly came into contact with the felt liner. I just drilled a small hole in the liner where it made contact and used zip ties to pull it forward. Lots of extra room now without any trimming at all. Also, the space between the back of the wheels and the brake caliper rib there is almost an inch of space. This it what I've installed so far: 1. ReadyLIFT 4" SST lift kit 2. Fuel Vandal 20x9+1 3. Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35.12 x 11.77 (295/65R20) 4. Gatortrax retractable tonneau 5. OEM Wheelhouse liners 6. Removed "Silverado" from fender and added Black and Chrome Z71 7. Installed quality Stubby antenna I think I'm part of a small group of people here that drives on a dirt road daily so the truck insn't clean in the pics.
  19. The Readylift components feel much more robust than many of the other manufacturers I've had in the past. Plust I can get the 35.12 x 11.77 Nitto's to fit without any rubbing or as big of a gap from the top of the tire to the top of the wheel well like a 6" lift has. Just my preference of course.
  20. Today I got the new Nitto 35's on the truck. Tomorrow I'll get them mounted and the lift installed too!
  21. My 2015 Silverado had more comfortable seats for sure. I like my seat all the way up especially on the front under the knee area. On the T1, the seat bottom doesn't reach out as far and it doesn't tilt up as high either. I'm thinking of adding spacers to get the front edge of the seat a bit higher.
  22. I did. And I forgot to mention I also installed a set of OEM wheel house liners. :)
