Hi ALL
about 2 weeks ago I had the 5100 installed on my 2020 LTZ Z71 with the 6.2 engine option. It also had an alignment done. I also installed 5100 in the rear and used RAS (roadmaster active suspension) to give me a 1.5" boost in the back while adding towing enhancements. The truck did not have a block, and only measured about .5-.75" in rake. According to Bilstein, the 5.3 gets you up to a 2.5" lift and the 6.5 is a 1.5" lift on the highest ring. I wanted to leave a little rake in it, so my math told me 1.5" out of the rear +.75= 2.25-2.5" in the rear. So 1.5" in the front keeps my rake.
So its installed and the lift pushed the front up between 2.25-2.5"! This puts me about 1/4" high in front. I talked to Bilstein and others, and they said it should/may settle down up to an inch. Well I have put about 1000 miles on it so far. The ride is good, I really like how much more controlled and planted it all feels. I like look, but my concern is towing and nose high. I have about 800# tw. I need to play with my hitch some more after the adjustments.
But also the UCA. I know others have reported issues starting around 2.5", which is right where I am at, and slightly under. But by my eyes the angles look pretty good and no real issue there?
My question is: Has anyone replaced on the 6.2 and saw the same 2"+ gain as I did? Also do the control arms look good to people? The dealer who installed them thought they looked good.
