I had to bring in 18 quarts to flush mine completely last week. Think it holds not quite 12 quarts. The remaining was used to flush the lines and what not as stated in the other members post. Something to keep in mind, if you're going to be using your own fluids... You need more than what it calls for capacity.

Quick Update... After getting the transmission flushed and all fuilds switched over to Amsoil Signature, the truck does seem to shift and ride smoother.... Could be placebo, only time will tell. The mechanic working on it did call me and tell me that during the road test before changing fuilds they noticed the following ( I had him write it down in case I need to take it to the dealership in the future, I can give them specific info.): "During the road test the pulse width modulated torque converter clutch engagement seemed to be revving a little high, never fully engaging at 100% engagement, and sometimes fluctuating 50 to 100 RPMs for seemingly no reason. This was not enough to trigger the diagnostic trouble code, but did seem and feel a bit unusual." Also, after changing all the fuilds, he also told me the ATF that came out wasn't dirty or discolored, but did smell a little on the burnt side. And also that the front diff was about 1/2 a quart low of fuild... Wanted to know if I had it worked on previously, and I said nope, only has 24k miles on it, must have come from the factory that way. So there's that. Anyway, will continue to update as needed.

Enough of this... My 2019 TrailBoss w/ 8-speed goes in to local shop tomorrow and gets full flush and replacement with Amsoil Signature. Also figured it would be a good time to swap the front and rear diff fuilds, as well as the transfer case fuild. Will update will results after a few days of driving.

Put on Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 295/70R18 on the stock wheels the other day. Look great and are really aggressive, which I like... Put they do rub just ever so slightly at full lock. And that's leveled and with 1.25" spacers.

Got new tires finally. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 295/70R18. Even leveled and 1.25" spacers, still very slight rub at full lock.... Very aggressive tires though, and look amazing. Then went and dropped it off for a detail. -

No problem, it's pretty simple. For the new parts: Just slip on the wiring harness that comes with it, with the positive and negative terminals. Then cut the wireing harness after the fuse... So your cutting it between the fuse and circle connectors. Strip some wire covering to expose some bare wire on the ends. For the factory parts: Work up/remove some of the black wrap to have some play with the two wires that go the back of the factory 12v. Cut the wires off the back. You may want to remove your ground from the battery before you do this step.... You don't have to (I didn't), just make sure you don't cut them together, and make sure they don't touch once you do cut them, as it's a hot wire, unless disconnected. Strip some wire like you did earlier, and just connect the positive running from the dash to the positive of the new wire... Same with the ground wire. Use whatever type of wire connector you want, as long as they're secure. I think there's a washer on the back side of the factory 12v insert to remove it. Take out the factory 12v plug, drimmel out a slightly larger hole, so you can pop in the new one and secure it tight. You're good to go. Let me know if you need clarification on anything.... More or less just cutting the 4 wires (2 new and 2 old) and connecting them. Like I said just be careful with the two factory ones after you cut them, and don't let them touch; it's a live wire. It's not gonna kill you or anything, just scare you when they spark. -

Nope, no noticable battery drain. -

Yes, I installed with coils exposed, and the cover went back on, just fine. The area you drimmel out has nothing holding the cover in place, so doesn't effect anything. Hardest part is epoxying the thing in place. -
Borla Touring Vs. GM Performance

Essentially the same thing.... I'd go with Borla personally. And S-type over Touring... Perfect amount of low tones. -

If you want my honest answer, my opinion is Camburg is the best: https://camburg.com/shop/suspension/camburg-chevygmc-1500-2wd4wd-19-20-kinetik-series-billet-upper-arms/ Also, Icon and Baja Kits are very reputable as well. -

wireless charging upgrade
Swiftks replied to Robwcormack's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Even if there is any power draw, I'm pretty sure it would be minimal. I mean it would just be keeping power supplied to the pad. If nothing is on the pad drawing power, then I don't see how there would be any significant power draw. I mean if you keep a car charger or radar detector plugged into the 12v 24/7 do you really think it's drawing enough power to affect anything? The original guy in this thread did the same thing in September, he hasn't complained. I guess time will tell, but I'm not worried. -

tapped into the 12v outlet wires, to get more power. It's always hot, but shouldn't be drawing any power unless something is charging on it. -

Some pics of the install today. Epoxy isn't pretty, but can't see it at least. Drimmel made short work of the plastic tabs. Wired into 12v at rear. Works good. Size is perfect. -

Was going with the before mentioned single coil disk.... But decided to step up my game to 5 coils!!!! ? Will be installing tomorrow... Will report back. Size is almost the exact same size as the phone tray in center console, so should work beautifully. Going to tie the power into the rear 12v. Here's the part I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PYQQ1R7/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_R2ZwEb6850DQB Getting the cover off this larger one was infinity easier than the small disc one. -

What Have You Done With Your T1 Today ?????
Swiftks replied to Sierra Dan's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Naw, it's a LED, any power drain would be minimal. No one complaining of any power drains on the reviews, and most people mention that it stays on 24/7, so everyone is aware of it. Time will tell, but I don't foresee a LED that small causing any issues. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F84VVB4/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_dR1sEbCHQ5PS2 FYI, you do have to widen the hole ever so slightly to get it to fit. I used a drimmel with a fine grit sand paper attachment, no problem. -

Installed Auto Stop Eliminator that the wife got me as a Valentine's Day gift. Also, figured since I would be taking the dash apart anyway, it would be a good time to swap out the 12v accessory/lighter port for something more functional... Double quick charge w/ voltmeter. -
2019 RST with IOS Infotainment system, Nav upgrade...
Swiftks replied to Blanz's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Update: So, finally got a clear concise answer on what is needed for traffic updates on the nav map. You need "Connected Navigation". I went through the OnStar button to get it. I told them this is all I wanted or needed, and they've given me a month free to try it out. Said it would be $10/month after that or $100 for a year subscription. Here's the description and link: https://my.chevrolet.com/how-to-support/onstar-connected/features/connected-navigation Then when I logged into MyChevrolet app, it appears it was either bundled with or is actually part of "Chevrolet Unlimited Access Plan" (see screen shot below of what is included with this). They told me when I talked to them, when setting it up, to call and renew for the yearly subscription when my month free is about to run out next month. Said it would be $100 for a year, but price in MyChevrolet app is saying $119/year, but that's for all the above.... Not sure if you need the full package or bundle, but regardless I'll call when I want to get the yearly price and get it for $100 as I was promised. Also, it did take about 6 or so times off starting/stoping my truck before the traffic finally showed up on the nav map.
