  1. Is this the audio module? Do I have the black and gray connector?
  2. I got that message from AIS, not LLJ
  3. Dude that is incredibly helpful. Thank you. So all that is left is for me to decide where to mount my LC2i. If I mount it next to the amp, I'll get a 10ft harness and short RCAs and I should be good to go.
  4. I'm going to be installing this SubThump box and amp combo, and I would like to purchase a harness from LLJ Customs. http://subthump.com/Chevrolet-GMC-Custom-Subwoofer-Boxes/Silverado-And-Sierra-Crew-Cab-Custom-Subwoofer-Enclosures-by-Subthump/2019Up-Crew-Cab/New-2019-New-Body-GM-Crew-Cab-Dual-1012-Downfire-With-Amp-Space-clone.html I've reached out to LLJ customs twice and they haven't gotten back to me. Can you guys help me with choosing the correct options for the harness? It's for a 2020 Silverado LT, 8" without Bose. Here's the link to the harness. https://lljcustoms.com/store/ols/products/2014-2018-gm-t-harness-for-8-screens-without-bose-1418gm8 First option: Line Output Converter I already know I want the LC2i with the bass knob Second Option: Vehicle Connector Color I don't know which connector they're talking about and how to find the color Third Option: Harness Length I don't know where this harness plugs in, so I don't know how long I need the harness to be to get to under the rear seat Fourth Option: RCA Cables I have no idea if I need these Fifth Option: Extended Amp Turn On Wire Again..no idea where this is plugging into in the car or if I need it extended And finally, should I just skip the harness? What's it actually doing? Can I just do the wiring myself if I'm comfortable with soldering
  5. Doesn't look like too bad of a job. Thanks for the link
  6. I haven't followed Mobil 1 prices in a while. Is $10/quart a lot? I usually pay like 15/quart for Motul
  7. I did some looking around and it seems like the dealer installs the Rev brand. I'll find out when I go in tomorrow morning
  8. Yep. And they are of decent quality. I don't shy away from using Mobil products. But then there's the really good stuff like Amsoil and Motul. I use those in my racing applications. My point is that "full synthetic" is not what people think it is. Only "100% synthetic" is actually synthetic.
  9. My cover is at the dealer for the clip recall right now. So I haven't even seen it yet. They're gonna install it on Friday. Is the thing waterproof? Is it the same tri-fold they install at the dealer?
  10. I have a 2020 white Silverado LT and I'd like to do a chrome delete. Has anyone taken the bumpers off and disassembled them? Is it possible to take all the plastic off and just leave the metal pieces so it's easier to paint?
  11. I'm not going to call anyone. You should do some reading for yourself https://www.motuloil.com.au/2016/12/26/81/ http://www.synlube.com/synthetic.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_oil
  12. I might be interested. I have to see which brand bed cover I have. It's at the dealer right now for a recall for the mounting clips
  13. Nice..thanks for the links. I've seen videos of that particular swing out tool box before. They seem kinda flimsy. When people were handing them in the videos they were flexing and bouncing around on the hinges. Are you happy with the quality of them for the money?
  14. I think most of Mobil 1's oils are blends. If it says "Full Synthetic" it's basically a marketing gimmick. If it says "100% synthetic" that means there are no crude oil/minerals in it whatsoever.
  15. Do you have links to both of those products?
  16. The approved Mobile 1 and the Delco are the same exact oil in different bottles, FYI. https://www.gmdexos.com/brands/dexosd/index.html I don't know if that oil you're talking about is approved. I'm sure there are plenty of other oils out there that will work in the engine but aren't approved edit: seems that I may be wrong, as they claim to be Dexos D licensed. hmmm
  17. He just emailed me back saying he's closed until mid September. So I guess my choices are limited now
  18. Has anyone had any luck with 100% drop-in replacement speakers for the 8" non-bose setup? I'm doing a subwoofer soon and for an extra couple hundred bucks it probably wouldn't hurt to replace the 6 speakers and run it off the stock amp
  19. I just emailed him. Thanks
  20. I have a 2020 Silverado LT with the 8" screen, without Bose. I'm sort of confused on what all is needed to install a subwoofer and I need some advice on what to buy as well. I want to use the subwoofer as a supplement to my terrible factory speakers. I had good luck doing this with a previous vehicle. I took the bass burden off the door speakers and I had the sub handle all the bass frequencies. So far I'm looking at this enclosure with the included amp. 200 watts is plenty of amp for my needs. http://subthump.com/Chevrolet-GMC-Custom-Subwoofer-Boxes/Silverado-And-Sierra-Crew-Cab-Custom-Subwoofer-Enclosures-by-Subthump/2019Up-Crew-Cab/New-2019-New-Body-GM-Crew-Cab-Dual-1012-Downfire-With-Amp-Space-clone.html And then I'm looking at this harness, but I don't know what add-ons to select. I want the minimum configuration to get around the bass roll-off from the factory. https://lljcustoms.com/store/ols/products/2014-2018-gm-t-harness-for-8-screens-without-bose-1418gm8 I'm also wondering if the bass knob that's included with the subthump kit will be compatible with the LLJ customs harness, or if I have to buy a separate bass knob that's made for that harness. And finally, the question of which subwoofer to choose. Like I said earlier, I would like to supplement my factory speakers with this sub. I think the mounting depth of the box is 7". Should I be looking for something that has a wider frequency range? I would like a very tight and punchy speaker for the kick drum, but something that can fill in the other frequencies as well. I listen to almost every kind of music. EDM, Metal, Classic Rock, Country, and once in a rare while even Hip Hop. This enclosure allows for round or square 10 inch woofers. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
  21. Installed my rear 5100s today. 20 minute job without jacking the car up. Definitely worth the money. The front end still shudders over certain kinds of bumps and it would be nice to get them in the front too. I'll probably go through with it eventually
  22. I just ordered these for my 3.0 Duramax Z71. I only have 100 miles on my truck right now and the Ranchos are pretty awful. I noticed it on my test drive at the dealership. I'll likely do the fronts if I like how the rears feel. The front shudders like my old 2001 Yukon when it had blown air shocks and 195k miles.
  23. Here are my diesel ones. I wish you lived closer cause I would sell them to you
