  1. Ha! I drive like an old man also, but I'm getting between 15-17mpg in town. I get caught in morning and afternoon rush hour everyday. When I don't have to bring my 9 yo son to school and arrive earlier to work, I get 18-19mpg. My family and I just got back from a friend's lake house where the drive was mostly back roads and speeds of about 55mpg, I averaged 21-22mpg round trip. And that's with Ridge Grappler tires.. The truck has about 14,500 miles now.
  2. I pull a 34' camper occasionally with mine and I think this is a great towing setup....solid footing and stable. Although the loaded weight is likely only about 7500-8000lbs and not much of a challenge for it.
  3. I've also purchased the Soundstream amp and wire harness from John at Multipro products about a month and a half ago. I used an adjustable hole saw attachment from Harbor Freight to make the speaker cutouts. However, I'm only using two Polk Audio db522s placed in the outer left and right locations to maintain more stereo separation. I don't quite have the amp gain turned up halfway, and let me say that these two speakers are PLENTY LOUD for me. They are highly efficient. Also, I didn't put grill coverings because I didn't want to add washers. If anything, I find the install to look very clean without the grills and have no concerns about damaging the speakers. I've been listening almost every day while working around my house and everywhere when sitting outside and LOVE it! Just wanted to add my 2 cents.
