  1. I watched your youtube regarding fluid and filter change for your Colorado. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you mentioned you have had the transmission fluid and filter service at a local mechanic. Any reason you didn't do it by yourself if it is right?
  2. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation.
  3. One of 4 taillights doesn’t work on my 2022 LTD LT but it lights up for turning signal and brake. I am pretty sure one of 2 filaments in the 7443 halogen bulb is broken. I called dealer because mine is still under warranty but the dealer said they have to run a diagnostic test and I can be charged depending on what the problem is. They also said not sure a light bulb is covered by warranty or not because it is a wear and tear part. I can take a look at the bulb and replace it if that is the problem but just curious light bulbs are not covered by warranty? How about LED taillights? They are pretty pricey! Thanks.
  4. Thank you for the great info. I just emailed [email protected] to get mine. Thanks again.
  5. I've got some 8-line-long RPO codes after scanning the QR code on the driver-side door pillar but it seems that there are more RPO codes for my truck that are not shown here because I cannot find an RPO code for my rear differential... Is there any way to get full RPO codes for my truck?
  6. Wooo.. Scary... Can you recommend a good scanner for this potential codes? When I tried to install OEM bed lights to my prior 2019 WT, my dealer asked $175 for programing only, even though I physically installed them by myself (it was not a pulg and play). Dealer said any kind of programing/scanner thing starts from $175. I returned them at that time.
  7. Changing fronts and rears seems to be relatively easy but the most worrisome is tons of codes thrown after. Some on Youtube did not have any issues by putting brake service mode before and turning it off after. However, I also found some had horrible issues ending up towing theirs to dealers and paying $175 to $1,500 to clear codes (limp mode, check engine light, service brake system....) or fix broken E-parking brake or other parts the dealership said, even though they exactly followed putting brake service mode thing step by step (even some additionally took the negative battery terminal off for 0.5-several hours then reconnect on top of brake service mode. How you guys are replacing pads and rotors, DIY, or letting the dealer do it though it sounds very pricy? It would be nice if you guys share your experience/thoughts or pro tips if you know. Cheers.
  8. Thank you so much for posting this here! I will do this for mine when hitting 60K. BTW, just want to know how much dealers are asking for this and also a transmission fluid change for our 2.7Ts.... Had anyone had these at dealer?
  9. Correct me… I have just noticed GM gives a longer powertrain warranty up to 100,000 miles for L3B (2.7T) engines. Is this applied to 2024 model only or 2019-2023 too? Mine is 2022 LTD. Thanks.
  10. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. How about cooling down? Many say cooling down the engine after driving is also very important in turbocharged engines…, which means do I have to idle my engine for minutes after driving, especially long distance? I heard F-150’s cooling system still works for a while for this after the engine is turned off. Of course, our 2.7Ts also have that function, right?
  11. This is my first turbo engine. Some say modern engines don’t need a warm up more than a minute (I am not sure it is only for naturally aspirated engines or also for turbo engines), but the other say proper warm up especially in cold weather is crucial for turbocharged engines. If correct, how long should I wait for it after remote start? Should I wait until coolant temperature reaches operating temperature? It took more than 10 minutes this morning in cold around 23F (I live in Boston). I have noticed some turbo engines have had oil dilution issue usually occurring under the condition of improper warm-up in cold weather followed by short distance driving. Are our turbo also at risk, if we don't warm up ours? Thank you.
  12. I plan to buy several 6-qt Mobile 1 engine oils (5W-30) at once when on sale at Costco, which will be used for one year. Per Mobil 1 website, their oils have a 5-year maximum shelf life. How about ACDelco filters? Do these filters also have a shelf life? It was hard to find PF-66 filters (2022 LTD 2.7T) when I changed the oil in the past. I want to buy several at once as well. One more additional question, how about opened-unused oil? Thank you.
  13. I have an appointment with my dealer to fix the same issue. Please tell me how to check whether I have the SU4 axle or not? Thank you.
  14. Ah~ Now I got it. Thank you so much for explaining. I am going to re-learn!!!
  15. Sorry, I don’t get it. What does the true location of the tires mean? If I don’t know of it (no re-learn), will this have a negative effect on the truck?
  16. This was the first time I did tire rotation (everything is stock) for my 2022 1500 LTD LT. Do I have to re-learn TPMS? I have a tool from Amazon but my truck has not thrown any warning. Still, do I have to do it? Thank you.
  17. Are you guys using which jack stands 3-ton or 6-ton? It looks like the minimum height of the 6-ton is almost the same as the maximum height of the 3-ton, which means using the 6-ton has more stability, right? I think the 3-ton is just enough for tire rotations but the 6-ton should be better for safety? Will the 6-ton be too high, even though I will use them at the minimum height? Thanks.
  18. Thank you for your expertise. I had never had this kind of heavy vehicle before. Ok, I plan to buy Daytona 3 ton jack stands and $150s Pittsburgh floor jack. It seems that over $200 things are nice to have especially the one with a foot pedal to pump in the tight space but I think they are overkill for tire rotations only. I am using homemade wooden ramp for oil changes. I will also use the 3 ton jack stands together with the wooden ramp for just in case. Can you recommend appropriate jack stands and floor jack for my needs? Daytona… Husky…. Pittsburgh… thank you.
  19. Hi, I plan to buy a 3-ton floor jack and 6-ton jack stands to rotate 1500 LT tires at home but my garage is so tight. My driveway is also sloped. I don't think I can put the floor jack perpendicular to one side of the truck. The floor jack must be positioned perpendicular or is it ok to put it at an angle to the side of the truck frame and use the bottom half of the handle? I've read it will be tipped over if it is placed at an angle because it cannot be floated to balance the load. I've also read some use this way in the tight garages without problems... Should I go for unijacks in my case? We all know a floor jack is the way to go... but... Thank you.
  20. I am using homemade 6-inch tall wood ramps (2x10 pressure-treated lumbar from Home Depot) for oil change because mine is LT (no factory or aftermarket lift) which barely gives me space to crawl underneath the truck. I ended up making these after reading many bad reviews about plastic and even steel ramps. Just want to make sure these woods are strong enough to lift our trucks? Is putting some Jack stands with them overkill or good for backup? What system(?) are you guys using to lift Silverado for self-maintenance? Also, can anyone recommend a decent bottle jack that I can use for CR-V with the ground clearance of 6.7 inches as well? Thank you.
  21. Thank you so much for the info. I really appreciate it.
  22. Thank you for your reply. So as long as the size fits, ACDelco filters can be used universally for other cars (of course not for diesel)?
  23. My first 2019 WT was built in Mexico but never had any issues for 3 years until totaled by accident. The current 2022 LTD LT built in the US (VIN starting with 1) has had numerous little issues...
  24. It could be a kind of dumb question. Can I use a PF66 oil filter for my 2016 CRV? I have an extra PF66 after a self-oil change for 2.7T. Honda OEM oil filter is smaller (64 mm) than PF66 but I have found the current aftermarket oil filter on the CRV installed by a local mechanic is the same size as PF66. As long as it takes PF66, will it be ok? I mean functionally... it is not going to ruin the CRV engine? Thanks.
  25. I have been hearing high-pitch whining spinning sequel noises which initially occurred around 28K miles best heard between 30 and 40 mph but now I can hear them even at higher speeds (now passing 31K miles). The noises are the exactly same as the video clip of "blackout881" in the link below. I would like to know how you guys ended up with dealing this. I will take mine to the dealer soon but pretty sure they will say "unable to duplicate it" Thank you for your thoughts. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/217082-noise-in-cabin-or-am-i-going-crazy/page/7/
