  1. I have heard IOR cannot be updated, which sucks for my truck.
  2. I am looking for Bilstein front shocks (part#: 24-293297) that look like "out of stock/back order"... Although Bilstein is so papular, why is it so difficulty to buy them? Where can I buy them?
  3. I am using the factory interlocking mats without anchors for my 2019 1500 WT. Yes, x 100 better than others. No problems at all.
  4. Thank you for the good answers. So if I don't do any height adjustment which means remaining in a stock height while installing Bilstein 5100, I won't have warranty issues except for the front shocks themselves?
  5. Believe or not, I had a bad experience with changing shocks with lift kit. Make a long story short, I had to sell my 4-year-old Wrangler Unlimited because of death wobble 1 year after installation of new shocks with 2-inch lift. The local shop who installed them & even Jeep dealer could not find the cause of death wobble and asked for $$$$ to pursue it. Almost killed by my wife, had to drive a minivan for years until I purchased a 2019 1500 WT 4.3L crew cab short box. Then I have learned death wobble often occurs in solid axle vehicles, especially with lifted. Can changing front shocks in Silverado cause any potential serious problem (like totally unexpected death wobble in Wrangler)? I installed rear shocks by myself 6 months ago and have felt great. Now, time to do the front (part# 24-293297) but installation looks complicated than the rear (and I don't have spring compressors and even jack stands). Also require an alignment after installation anyway. Where did you install them, in a local shop or dealer? How much did you pay for it? Can any local car shop do it or I need to go to a truck shop? Does it void any warranty except for the shocks themselves? Again, because of my bad experience, sorry for many silly questions. Thank you.
  6. I have heard there is a notable improvement in riding quality after front/rear springs have been retuned by GM since 2020 model year (some auto reviewers say better than F150…). I know many replace stock shocks with aftermarkets (e.g. Bilstein… I also did it with 5100s rear only) to reduce bouncy riding. Just curious, if new retuned springs are good enough, it might be better to install them on 2019 rather than pursue aftermarket shocks/struts... Anyone tried or already replaced stock 2019 springs with 2020/2021s? Can anyone of 2020/2021 post your front/rear spring part#s for future reference? Mine for 2019 1500 4.3L Crew Cab short box WT are 84168560 for front and 84469777 for rear. Any thought? Thank you.
  7. I have already installed Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear. Yes, they made difference but I want a little more steady riding. Is riding quality with tuned suspension way better than 2019 with rear Bilstein 5100s. In the future, should I further install Bilstein in the front or replace 2019 front/rear springs with 2021? Kind of a stupid question but no clear way to check except for asking here for advices. Thank you.
  8. Thank you for the info. Is there notable improvement in riding quality between 2019 and 2020/2021? If I put new springs on my 2019, it will be the same as 2020/2021?
  9. One of famous car YouTubers said 2020 Silverado 1500 had most truckish riding. Ram was best and F-150 was 2nd. The same YouTuber now says 2021 is 2nd. F-150 is 3rd. Are suspensions of 2021 different from 2020? How about 2019? Mine is 2019. Thanks.
  10. Hi, just installed OEM Chevy interlocking floor liners for 2019 WT with vinyl floor which does not have floor mat retainers. It fits great without moving. I think “Interlocking” system holds pretty well and the liner covers entire floor way up from the gas/break pedals. Should I be okay or still need to install the floor retainers for “safety”? I can’t find the part number for those OEM retainers. It seems that aftermarkets in Amazon don’t fit to the holes. Does anyone have any idea to solve my issue? I am thinking these ways... 1. Get the retainers from junkyard and superglue them on the vinyl floor 2. Use industrial grade velcro (however it seems the back of the liner does have enough surface to hold the Velcro)... Thank you.
  11. It could be a dumb question but regarding the rear shocks... The boot side has to be down or up... or it does not matter?
  12. Has any one who had non-Rancho OEM shocks felt a huge improvement in ride quality after switching to Bilstein 5100 rear shocks (part# 24-293471) only? I am quite new to this forum and don't know exactly which trims have Rancho shocks and which trims not. I have already asked a similar question in another thread, but still cannot decide because some said not much difference unless you have Rancho shocks, but others said no matter which trim there is a HUGE... I am happy with current ride quality except for some bouncy in rear especially on highway and bumpy roads. My wife and kids complain of "car sickness" If yes but not noticeable, I would definitely stay with current OEM shocks. Mine is 2019 WT crew cab 4x4 short box 17-inch wheels. 50% highways, 50% locals, never towed, barely put some loads on the bed. Thank you.
  13. A quick stupid question. Do the low beam bulbs in WT, custom, and custom TB also work for DRL (daytime running light)? If yes, do they have a shorter life span than others because technically they are on all the time, days and nights? Is brightness different when being used for DRL during daytime and low beam at night? I have had this question since installing LED low/high beam bulbs from OEM halogen. "where is DRL bulbs?" Just curious. Thanks.
  14. Thank you Econometrics and Duramax3oh so much for sharing knowledge.
  15. Thank you so much Duramax3oh for your expertise. In terms of ride quality, I am quite okay with ride compared to prior when I drove 2013 wrangler. However, my wife and kids complain of bouncy ride especially on highway and bumpy roads. Of course, they feel it because Honda Odyssey was traded in for Silverado. I do not want to swap all 4 shocks with aftermarket's. I do not think I will benefit from Bilstein 5100 or even 4600 (other aftermarket shocks) rear only much more than OEM shocks in my 100% stock 1500 WT crew cab with 17-inch wheels. Just wanted to ask to check I was wrong or not. Thank you.
  16. I plan to buy Lasfit low and high beam light bulbs and simply plug them in and go. Do I still need to adjust the reflect bowl or I don't need to. If I change the low beams only to LED, will they interfere with the rest of OME halogen bulbs (e.g. when I use the high beams) or should I change all (low, high, front turn signals and front side markers) at once?
  17. It seems that all treads show Bilstein 5100 improves riding quality. Is this only for off-road oriented Silverado with Rancho shocks? Mine is 2019 1500 WT crew cab with OEM "black-colored" shocks and I want to install Bilstein 5100 rear shocks only. 100% pavement driving, never towed anything in my life, and hardest work I've done with my truck is carrying branches to dump after yard work. In this situation, will I notice a huge difference in riding quality or should I stick to the OEM shocks. Thanks.
  18. Hi, I am new to this forum. Just wandering... before ordering some LED low/high beam bulbs for 2019 WT. Has anyone had a ticket or any problem with police because "LED lights" are "too bright"? Is there any DOT approved LED light bulbs out there? I live in MA but am unable to find an answer regarding this. Thank you.
