Putting the strut under a arm will cause a 2inch front drop and will make your alignment suffer. Why don't you just adjust your hangers from 2 inch drop to 1 inch drop?
-
Yes you can. That's the only way to go lower than 3 inch in the back. Also. If you did q flip kit you should be fine at 5 inch drop when it comes to towing but and lower will need helper bags.
-
Also, dropping the front with only strut and springs makes it really difficult to put back in alignment. I recommend getting 2 inch drop spindles and removing the drops springs from the strut. This will make your camber less aggressive.

Do the 6 inch flip kit. It will make it a lot more even

So I looked at my dads 16 silverado with stock hangers. I couldn't really see any differences. I heard that the 2007 and up silverados all use the same frame until 2018. Better yet I was able to find a cheaper set with better reviews. Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFDFCTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_11t.FbB2185QH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Truck photo:

Nice truck, could you take a picture of the clearence between the axle and frame? Also, how much was the kit and installation?
-
Hey isn't this your truck? https://www.streettrucksmag.com/lowering-a-17-chevy-silverado-1500/# Did you have any camber issues with this kit? Hiw much exactly did this lower your front and rear?
-
You used no camber kit right?
-
Oh thanks for the clarification but I was referring to caster. How does that affect my drive ability?
-
You sure you didn't get the 4/6 drop kit? Nice, so your camber is good and you didn't have use a add on camber kit? Also, what is caster and how does it affect your truck?

Hey, I have a 2016 Silverado 4x4 crew cab and was wondering if I would have any alignment issues. I'm trying to go with a 3/6 but camber and alignment issues are what is really making me worried. The kit is a maxtrac which comes with 2 inch drop spindles, 1 inch drop spring, and a adjustable flip kit 5 to 6 inches of drop. Do any of you have experience with aligning a dropped 4x4? Here is the kit: https://maxtracstore.com/2014-2016-chevy-silverado-1500-2wd-4wd-1pc-drive-shaft-3-5-lowering-kit-maxtrac-ks331535/ Here is a picture of the truck(Note: this truck has been crashed before):
